Hi! Question about Groveside Cave.

Just started playing Elden Ring, only experience with Fromsoft games is Armored Core Six, and I was curious about this little mini-totem thingy? Inside the boss room?

Is that important? Can't break it, can't interact with it, was just curious if that was important or if it was a "Beastman makes do" type beat. Thanks in advance!

That's in every boss room and also often near areas with lot of mobs or next to bosses in the open field. It allows you to summon spirit ashes to help you with the fight.

The little statue of a lady is a respawn point. Or maybe there is a totem thing to summon other players for help. (idk i have not played online at all because i have to use mod to fix ultrawide 21:9)

Hm, but he was talking about a thing inside the boss room. Summoning pools and statues of Marika are always outside.

i had to go to the boss room because i couldn't remember the totem pole you were talking about, but it's nothing. i think it can be found in other places but it's nothing to interact with.

So what exactly were you talking about....?

Yes, you can not interact with it. It's only there to allow spirit ashes summons, without direct interaction. It marks the area. But ofc you can only summon such spirits after you got the required items. Then will show up a little "monument" mark on the left side of your screen, whenever it's possible to summon spirit ashes.

That's what those random pillars that everyone spams "if only I had a giant but hole" and "offer rear but be careful of taking all on at once" near are for?
