Can I play as Solaire, Maria or Isshin in Nightreign?
Or was that just a meme image?

That's a meme image. The main protags of nightreign seem to be unconnected, and if there's major connection to the previous games we'll find out. Having said that, we know for sure Nameless King, Centipede Demon and what may or may not be the Duke's Dear Freja are here, plus someone who suspiciously resembles the Fire Keeper. If any actual NPCs resurface, I doubt they'll be playable; they'll be NPCs or(hopefully) boss fights.

They'll be part of the season 1 battlepass.

Maria, 100% no. Fromsoft doesnt own bloodborn. So dont expect any characters from Bloodborn, or demon souls to appear, nor any bosses. That said, we have no idea. We will all find out in two months what the actual characters will be

Seven out of the eight playable characters have been shown off so far (check out Vaati's deep dive video if you want the full details) and everyone seems to be a completely new character.

Honestly I loved the storm-veil knight in castle Sol, by far the hardest hitting world enemy in the entire game. I made a build in Elden Ring with (clocked in over 400 hrs on my PS5). Instead of going with the greatswords, I opted for the largest straightswords I could find (to keep the same attack style as the enemy; game/lore accurate), and I used bloodhounds step to substitute the seemingly broken teleport the enemy has. I got through the entire game, and beat the DLC with ease. Consort Radahn was pretty freakin hard but it was the best cosplay fun I have ever had. Hope that I can make this a more realistic (and accurate) build when Nightreign comes out (seeing as the player animations and movement are different). If you ever play ER again I highly suggest trying the build out, it is so fun and really you can jumpstart it by cheesing the dragon in Caelid.

There are no "builds" in nightreign. Its a hack and slash.
