WSOD on Start - Suspended in Task Manager
I have just been gifted Elden Ring for Valentine's Day. My Fiance thought it would be a great gift seeing as how I have had it wishlisted for years and have always wanted to play it. Now that I have it, I can't play it. I have tried just about everything. Easy Anti-Cheat work arounds, driver modifications and updates, antivirus allowance, and so on and so forth. A helpful human on the Elden Ring discord helped me get t this point now where I am coming to steam support and eventually Bandai Namco Support because it appears to be some kind of memory cash where some exceptions aren't handled.

The first one is related to a initialisation fault at directx.

The second one is a little bit strange because there are informations missing.

Anyway your cpu is far below the mininum requirements and will have really bad performance with this game.

We could try to fix the Windows and Background apps related problems but i think you would not be happy with this game at this Hardware because it can have crashes related to timeouts.

PCGameBenchmark says that I meet both the recommended and minimum requirements for the game to run smoothly. It's minimum requirements are an Intel core i5-8400 and I have an Intel Core i7-3770K.

Now, I'm interested to hear more about this fault with DirectX because that is the fault I get 99/100 times.

When is it crashing? On launch, at title screen, in-game?

Have you tried disabling Ray Tracing in the advanced graphic options in the title screen menu before starting the game? When they added the patch to the PC version that added RT, it was set to on by default for some reason. A friend of mine who had no issues up until that point suddenly couldnt get past the title screen anymore until he turned it off.
