4K PS5 or 1080p Max on PC
I have a pc with a RX 6700 XT, 5800X3D and 32GB ram on a 1080p BENQ EX2510s. I also have a 4k LGUQ91 which is a fairly budget-mid range 4K tv and a ps5. Which would be the best way to experience the game? Thanks!

Well, now I feel dumb for complimenting you. I'm going to take it back.
why, because you didnt understand what i was saying in the first place, and thought i was agreeing that the game performs poorly? sorry fam but im not perpetuating that lie. the game has ran excellently since the first patch.
I didn't say it performs poorly. I said it's not well optimized - what lie? You yourself stated the game only holds 60fps 90% of the time. If you're saying that's excellent, I don't regard your opinion of performance very highly.

i stated that it holds that on MY system. using a 12 year old CPU and a GPU 1 step down from OP. OP is fully capable of running the game completely maxed out on all but maybe ray tracing, which in ER is literally just an extra layer of ambient occlusion instead of ray traced lighting, not that it would matter anyways.

but hey, just go ahead and cherry pick what i say to make yourself look right. lord forbid you use some basic common sense in your comments.
watch the tech review of Elden Ring running at 4K on PS5.
There are locations where the game runs 20fps

I really, truly don't care if I "look right" because you're doing all the lifting, here.

Oh no, my masculinity is being challenged on a game forum ages 13+

*writes petty one-liners for the next few hours*

What are you doing lol
I have my TV set as secondary screen on PC. you schould forget your ps5 and play the game with your PC.
There is a respect.
if you want the full expirience, also pvp or coop maybe both, go for PS. Its more active and you dont have to deal with cheaters.

the "4k" on ps5 and xbox isnt really 4k, its a 4k display resolution with a 1080-1440p render resolution being upscaled by their admittedly excellent upscaling algorithms. they dont have nearly the power for actual 4k. also the frame rate is terrible. youve got enough to run it at 4k on PC. i run it at 4k 60fps on older and lower grade hardware than you.
I guess I could try plugging my pc into my TV, never really thought of doing that before

The main reason TVs wouldn't be used for gaming is their input latency, but if your TV is exceptionally fast, then go for it

I'm not sure, from the reviews I've seen its pretty good in that regard however its hard for me to gauge personally because my monitor is obviously quite a bit more responsive. I have an LG UQ91 (9000 series) and for some reason I can't find many exact reviews on this TV
I don't think ps5 can do a stable 60fps but PC cant either and PC stutter, the console version would be far superior the stuttering makes it unplayable

Most every review doesn't talk about input latency, and usually the reviewers confuse it with Response Time, an unrelated spec.

From the reviews on Rtings, it has good input lag just poor response time which I can sort of vouch for
i use a cheap vizio TV for my gaming because the tiny 30" or so maximum of "gaming monitors" are far too small for me. ive never noticed any input lag from my garbage tier chinese brand $250 50+" tv.
