Guard Counter Build?

I've been thinking about making a guard counter build and was wondering which shield and weapons would work well with it?

I know for sure I want to go greatshields for bouncing attacks and securing more openings for counters. What weapons go well with this kind of build? I know the DLC hammer has a unique guard counter, so i'd definitely want to pick that up eventually. That being said, I'm thinking str/faith is probably the way to go here, but i'd also need a lot of stamina, so high endurance is a must.

I'd be starting over on a fresh character so I'd need some early/mid and endgame weapons to look out for.

Last question; What are some good talismans for this build?

Golden Halberd deals ridiculous base damage which goes along way for both the Guard Counters and the critical after stance breaks.
Turtle Talisman for increased stamina regen since you will be needing a lot of it.
Guard Counter Talisman, duh.
Greatshield Talisman to improve your stamina drains.
4th talisman is of your choice, but most likely will end up either being Erdtree's Favor or Greatjar Arsenal.

Clayman's Harpoon works great, because you can add AoW to it, but has Impaling Thrust by default which works great.
