From Software is not shifting to a multiplayer focused company

I see a lot of people complaining with two mp focused games in a row and while I get the worry this community since the first Dark Souls is very easy to scream before thinking anything. Nightreign is FS Team B doing something for fun and Duskbloods seems like something Miyazaki wanted for the longest time and Nintendo backed him up on this. It sucks that two games in a row follow a similar format, but this is coincidence since they're from different teams, and now Miyazaki made sure to let us know this isn't going to keep happening going forward. I wish the team success on all of those attempts, even though I lost my hype for Duskbloods, I loved playing the beta of Nightreign

You guys can chill, enjoy what is coming or just wait for the next projects

Edit: Duskblood, for example, seems like something Miyazaki himself wanted to do for a while and Nintendo was a partner that worked for the team to have this developed. Dude was enjoying Escape from Tarkov not too long ago (https://kotaku.com/elden-ring-miyazaki-tarkov-shadow-erdtree-multiplayer-1850175376) so I don't think there's much dept to it, and the same to Nightreign but with a different person. They just thought it was fun and they did it, but this isn't something shaping the company - at least not in a major scale that THIS is going to be what they'll be doing here onwards.
Some are mentioning that is bad that now they are doing something with console exclusivity and this might point out to more but remember, Miyazaki first souls was a PS3 exclusive. Bloodborne also came out 2014 years ago. Again, let's chill.

Good - especially considering the direction they went with Duskbloods, according to Eurogamer:

'FromSoftware's The Duskbloods is Bloodborne meets Sekiro meets Dark Souls'

Hopefully the next big one will be like that, too (still wouldn't buy a switch for it though).

i'm more worried about their increasing lack of quality/effort and DLC practices

Also worried about their random exclusivity deals, don't want another Bloodborne situation to happen.

As far as multiplayer goes, I wouldn't be opposed to playing some if they were actually good. I mean I played Remnant 2 co-op and it was very fun but I don't see myself wasting any time with Nightreign, looks like trash.

Obviously they won't stop doing what made them successful , but releasing 1 good single player game every 2-3 slop multiplayer games is bad , a part why i like fromsoft is that they release good games back to back and that won't be the case anymore

they are also doing exclusivity deals which means that the studio has gotten greedy even though elden ring was very successful and sold close to 30mil copies

We had a good run and sadly most good things gotta end at some point , Fromsoft is only going downhill from now on and the future will prove it

i have a feeling duskbloods was in development longer then nightreigns. they just slapped nightreigns as quick as they could so it wont backfire on them.. again they should just have announced elden ring switch 2 and brand new dlc expansion for all systems and people would be pleased. this is just a mess. there just milking at this point and i don't know why people are defending them?

Well Miyazaki Lied about the size of Shadow of The Erdtree and lied about overall playtime for base game. I think Miyazaki doesnt actually know what the flying ♥♥♥♥ he's doing now and has been compromised by $ony or has developed some mental problems

I'm just saying between the tarnished edition items costing money and there being 2 multiplayer focused games, I am not seeing a good future for Fromsoft. Hope i am wrong but so far it doesnt look good

Eh... I'm slightly more optimistic. I'm certain the games will be up to the usual standard. The rest is kinda not up to me. It's an exclusive? Well, I'm clearly not an intended buyer. Although... Maybe... Later.

As for horse armor DLC... Depends on how much it will cost and how much will it add. It's all relative. Let's get to the bridge first, then we'll start discussing how rotten and shoddy it is once we see it.

I wouldn't be surprised if duskblood is some sort of commission from nintendo for a switch exclusive. Fromsoft still has autonomy, just because a company pays them to make a game doesn't mean that's the only thing they do now.

Most likely this. Good exclusives sell platforms. Fromsoft is a well known name, make reliable high quality products... If the game turns out good then it will sell a couple Nswitches for certain.
