The Duskbloods
This is betrayal on the highest level. I cant believe we have reached the timeline where fromsoft bowing down to lick the boots of the shareholders. This IP is so wasted on that cheap steamdeck knock-off.

"I can't believe we have a timeline wherein a developer--a business begun with the intention of generating profit--is trying to generate profit."

I have no interest in Duskbloods, but this argument is weird on its face. Video games can be art, sure, but they are commercial art--designed to be sold for profit. And all companies are beholden to their stakeholders; it's how they stay in business.
Nintendo Switch? ... skipping

i somewhat get your point but we are talking about fromsoftware, they were THAT company that made big quadrupel game publishers like EA and Ubislop cry big tears for beeing a company that sells games at 60bucks not mtx, the full experience and now they sell their soul to nintendo.

If they want to make money, they release it on steam day 1. Fromsoft is going to backpaddle just like ubislop.

Nintendo probably shelled out big for it. And from the sound of it, it's a smaller game, akin to Nightreign, not actually a full blown mainline title.

Either way, there's still no way in hell I'm buying a Switch 2.

You need customers for profit, though. Best to treat them with some respect (no monthly subscription fee to play your own game, multiple platforms = more customers).
Sloppy multiplayer game or not...

It just feel criminal to make another exclusive fromsoft game that will rot on an already obsolete console (yeah sorry i mean... Everything the switch 2 does, peoples did it already a long time ago now and we are already entering a new gen...) for years, considering everybody disliked the fact that bloodborne is still stuck for exemple.

If only it was just that.
We are in the worst timeline possible, the fact they did an exclusivity with Big N out of all the companies out there is the worst thing possible.

The economics of selling out to nintendo make no sense. Of course they can cash in prior to seeing any sales, with no risk, nintendo taking the risk instead.

But it's Fromsoft, they just need to do it decent and multi-plataform to sell a ♥♥♥♥ ton. There's no way nintendo is paying more than what the natural sales would amount to.

i see it the same way, from releasing bloodborne on steam alone they would crush eldenrings launch numbers.

I also dont see kids playing duskblood instead of a nintendo housemade game, this console is targeted towards literal kids and toddlers
