he's easily stance broken with melee and ranged. his head is a weak spot because of the crack. dodge his aoe and spam dodge on his grab/swarm attack.

Glad you got past him. I remember this being a nightmare because FromSoft are trolls and thinks it's a good idea to have a MAGIC RESISTANT ENEMY drop MAGIC.

I'm not looking forward to it when I get to him on my +3 level 35 here in a bit.

The Astel one in the snow fields dungeon is a PROBLEM
Its was the ONLY boss in the entire game that actually gave me serious trouble. Like I beat pre-nerf radahn and melenia and even they didnt give me the issues that sad sack of $h!* gave me.

It was one attack specifically that I could not for the life of me, dodge, and its that stupid grab attack it does after it multiply with ten copies and all of them would teleport, and then appears out of no where with a grab attack. i ALWAYS got caught by one of the hands. if i dodged one, I'd dodge right into the hands of the others. and it would one shot me every frigging time.

I spent like 7 or 8 tears trying all kinds of builds, and nothing worked. I just could not get past that attack. So after like 7 hours across a few days, I decided, well if I cant dodge it, my only choice is to just survive it. I put on the heaviest armor I had, the best defense and HP increasing talismans, as many defense buffs as I could and i finally survived the grab attack with a sliver of HP, and it was just enough so I could chug a flask when it let me go, and that was the run I finally beat the 4u(k3r.

I never went to that dungeon ever again in my future playthroughs.

Months later, I watched a youtube video and learned that boss actually has the highest damaging, single damage attack in the whole damn game. Its grab attack damage was like 3000 or something like that if I remember correctly. Even with 99 VIG, you couldnt survive that.

Letenna is MVP summon as she was firing arrows non stop from wwaaaaaaaaay across the battlefield while I was dodging attacks, trying not to die, as she was just whittling away its HP.
