Crashing
Hey y'all, recently I started playing elden ring again but I cant seem to get it to play. Every time I come to the title screen and try to create a new character the game crashes, and when I just rush the character creation, the game crashes during the cutscenes. I tried deleting the game and re-installing it but that didn't work, and I tried restarting my PC, but that didn't work either. I have had this game for a while now but for some reason its not working anymore, I put the quality of everything down to low and my ray-tracing is off but nothing seems to help. My PC is in good quality and when I check if everything is running it says it is. Do you what I should do?

Sounds like the same issue I've been dealing with for a few days now. I was able to be on for about an hour until it crashed again. I've verified game files and reinstalled twice, as well as restarting my pc multiple times. Still not fixed.
what windows event viewer crash log you guy get ?

what hardware you guys use ?
I had issues with vanilla ER loading online stuff like bloodstains and messages that caused early crashes. Have you tried running an offline modded startup version? It skips all the online bs and allowed me to play with older hardware. I have since upgraded and can run online stuff again, but I still prefer Seamless Coop to having the game chug due to all the bloodstains and messages.

don't remember exactly what it was, popped up once and I decided to not to get a screenshot of it. Browser history for it shows Launch Error 30005 Create File Failed with 32.

Using a 3080, 32gb ram, i7 12700.

this is a different problem related to a broken eac installation or broken windows user profile

first try a clean eac install

delete the 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS' folder in C:\Program Files (x86)

then Use Registry Editor to delete all keys and values that had 'EasyAntiCheat_EOS' to do this search up "REGEDIT" in search.
right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Find and look up the term EasyAntiCheat_EOS and delete the whole folder with this name on the left side, search again because there are more of this folder.

then go into elden ring's game files in the installation folder and delete the easyanticheat folder.

verify gamefiles to restore the folder fresh.

reboot windows

then go into elden ring's game files in the installation folder and navigate to easy anti cheat, and click on the install_easyanticheat_eos_setup

Seems to have worked, hopefully I don't have to come back to this thread. Idk how you manage to do it, you're the best.
