made a new 125 character
so after learning the best pvp bracket is 125-150 i made a new character and now its lvl 125 but im not sure what kind of build I wanna go for
for now I think im a kind of hybrid build focusing on the carian sorcery sword and a shield and sorcery but Im eager to know what you guys think of the "perfect" build for pvp at that lvl bracket and what stats u suggest, my current stats are as follows:
vig=40 - mind=20 - end=33 - str= 27 - dex=40 - intl=23 - faith= 12 - arc=9
i know none of it sounds proper but idk what to go for cuz i always got all my stats the maximum so it didnt matter especially when i was lvl 266, all my stats were super high
but now idk, is my lvl at 125 good enough for pvp or should I go a bit higher? what build and stats and weapons make winning at pvp easy?

Lol... No amount of levels or stats will guarantee 'winning at pvp easy', but if you just want quick wins, double down on any weapon with high damage rollcatchs or jump attacks that you can two-hand or power stance. Preferably one that matches your stats for the best scaling. My advice is not to be cheap and just pick a silly gimmick weapon and set and try to make that work. Very few people would say that whips are a good weapon for example, but they can be surprisingly good pvp weapons because they are hard to figure out dodge timing and reach. Powerstance some petal whips, put on that Hoslow set, and go nuts.

dont worry about activity , all levels between 125-150 have a good amount of players , in level 125 probably strength build is better since u get more strength points if you two hand weapons.

If you wanna go mage build (not good in invasions) u want around level 150 cause u need more stats in my opinion.

You have to be a bit more spesific tho in what you mean pvp , invasions or arena? cause best build differ from one to another.

Ok so , hybrid doesnt work for that level , u need to choose 1 build .150 level is not enought to go hybrid , you need 60 vigor like 38-45 endurance depending on the weapons weight u wanna use, put maybe 4 points in a stat that decides if you can use a weapon that you want or not, and the rest points you put it into your main build scaling stat.

If its strength , you put it to strength , if its dex you put it in dex etc...

You cant go hybrid like 35 strength 35 inteligence or smthing , you are gonna have more options yeah but you are gonna deal no damage.

I did the same mistake when i started pvp i went for a quality build ( strength and dex) but that doesnt work on those levels , you need to choose one, you can add me if you need more help ive a pretty good amount of hours in pvp

well, i got my character to lvl 149 and my stats are as follows:
40 vig, 28 mind, 33 end, 27 str, 40 dex, 35 intl, 16 faith, 9 arc
i think its good for a hybrid build at this pvp bracket
in my right hand i have the carian sorcery sword and in my left hand i have the tree sentinel set, the movesets are awesome, cuz i can use my left hand to deal serious damage and use right hand to do decent meele dmg and use spells

40VIG and stats waaaay too spread out. Be ready to lose most encounters no matter how good you may be.

Im thinking of reducing str, what else do u suggest? how do u think should i spread them out? im going for either a hybrid or a spellsword build

Hybrid builds on toons below RL200 are generally a bad idea because you can't put enough points into your stats to make anything worthwhile.

If you go 40VIG, you do this at the expense of survivability to invest more in your primary offensive stat to create a glass cannon. Not focusing these points in one offensive stat just makes a toon with lowered survivability AND low damage output. Remember, VIG not only increases your HP, but your base defense stats as well.

Not really, if you stack res and use res properly you can easily get away with vig 40. all of my toons are vig 40 and I beat the game my first time around with estus flask +10 and no great runes.

Sir, this is in reference to PvP, not PvE. Of course 40VIG is doable in PvE. Hell, I'm in the DLC with a RL30, WL+5 toon vacuuming up all the stuff there. Buff stacking is the only way to survive there aside from the ususal git gud.

139 should be the max since this will let you match whit 25 lvl difference then your current lvl so you have access to lvl 114-164 and of course weapon +25/+10
for stats i will go whit
54 vigor
42 strength / or Dex
21 endurance
20 dexterity if is not your main stat

and the rest of your points 28 you can spend them on (this is calculated as a wretch):
mind, intelligence, faith or arcane

talismans you may want as a suggestion : great-jar arsenal +33% carry load , DragonCrest talisman +20% physical dmg reduction and green turtle talisman

strength and dex is very important since most weapon scale best whit them not to mention that most weapons require a minimum of str and dex to be wielded

at lvl 125 to have 1300 hp is really low considering that players can get to 800AR and still have 1800hp + good defence ( crab + dragoncrest talisman)

139 level is correct idea but the build u suggest is not good in my opinion.

54 vigor is ok would prefer more like 60
21 endurance is horrible both for equip load and actual stamina
40 points to your main damage stat is very low
and spreading almost 30 points of stats into random stats is a horrible idea also

Great-jar talisman is good as you said depending on the build
Dragon crest talisman is 20% only for PVE and 5% for pvp so its not good for pvp
turtle talisman is kind of situational if you need it or not but not bad indeed

Keep in mind we are talking about a bigginer in pvp as im understanding, 40 points to main stat is generaly bad but beeing a bigginer with 40 points in main stat is mutch worse you are gonna deal no damage and you are not good enought yet to play without an optimized build against 3 players at the same time
