Will a laptop with an rtx 3050, ryzen 7 4800h and 16gb ram run it on medium?

with a 3050 you might be able to run high setting with 1080p monitor so your good

it will not,i just watched how it works on asus tuf a15 (same hardware as yours) and it's laggy,even on the first tutorial boss it's only ~40 fps,i can't imagine how it will be in dlc.
(3050 is not enough for it) Just google your specs on youtube and you'll see a benchmarks.
Btw my 3060ti and 5600x was STRUGLING on dlc finall boss,so you better check how it works on him.

I used to have a 4800H + RTX 2060 laptop and it was good for 1080p High, no stutters.

Nothing against laptops, but you could have purchased twice the pc in stats if you built a desktop with the money you spent on yours, AND gotten a copy of ER XD

Laptop hardware is generally not as good as Desktop of the same spec for a number of reasons. I think you can run it, but only on the lowest settings (it won't look that bad) and you may want to cap your FPS to 30 using your graphics card app.

There are also Mods that will make the game easier but if you use them, you will have to play in Offline Mode and disable EAC (also with a Mod).

it didn't run smooth, even at lowest, i will refund. When i got out of that dungeon in the beginning and saw the tree it was lagging, oh well, guess i'll buy some other low end pc games.

Did you cap your frame rate to 30? I think that is the only way it would run smooth on that system.

Nah, but either way 30 bucks is too much, its not even my type of game tbh, i just bought it bc everyone says its the best. But I dont rly like it, maybe i'll buy it if someday it goes to 10 bucks and i have a good pc

Ok. Sorry it was not for you. It is my first Souls game as well. Have finished two complete play throughs and and doing the DLC now. Will be starting a third play through as a Kung Fu fighter when DLC is finished.

Just FYI, Baldur's Gate 3 (another fantastic game) will also probably not run well on your system as the graphics and CPU requirements are very similar.
