Technical state of the game?
Heard that this game suffered from severe stuttering/framedrop issues at launch. Have these issues been fixed by now or is it something that still needs to be tolerated? Thanks!

I’ve personally experienced the release and it was unplayable but now it’s smooth sailing for me. YMMV depending on your specs.

Its pretty smooth but there is an occassional frame drop, freeze/stutter.

More then that is graphical glitches involving the lighting which certain areas will just become dark/black for no reason.

Gameplay wise, apparently it's still got a really bad camera pov issue where you can't hit what you are looking at but instead what your character is looking at. Why didn't they program the camera to work like every other third person melee game where you can just hit in the direction you want to hit?

All the performace problems(except people trying to run it on toaster ones) are related to outdated game engine and anti-cheat bloatware that they decided to use. After few post launch patches performabce was bearable, but as soon as the DLC released stutters were back for some unknown reasons, and there is nothing you can do with that except third party DLSS apps and using CPU with increased 3-rd level cashe.

I can say, at least for my 12th gen i5 CPU, I had to screw around a bit and disable e-cores. That got rid of random stuttering and freezes.
It runs almost maxxed out on 1080p on RTX4050 laptop GPU. Leave the raytracing stuff off.

Runs fine without frame drops with ray-tracing on for me. Way better than it was at launch.

it still has some rare framedrops in the dlc but otherwise it's smooth for me

Thanks all! I myself am fortunate enough to have a quite high-end PC (i7 13700k & RTX 4080) but still wanted to check this as nowadays it seems that no amount of hardware power is able to guarantee a smooth experience in modern AAA-games…

This game was a stuttery mess at launch in 2022. It got much better for me by patch 1.04. Now we are on patch 1.16 and it's almost perfectly smooth, at least on my PC.
