Silver-Pickeled Fowl Foot for Farming
I am considering farming for the Watchdog Greatsword simply because I hate how my "Guts Greatsword" looks, but I love the playstyle and being able to use Ashes of War.

I never used Silver-Pickeled Fowl Foot before and only discovered it in my inventory when I was looking for Golden-Pickeled Fowl feet.

But, after reading the description it seems essential for farming for those with no investment in Arcane.

I know the Watchdog Greatsword has a low dropprate.

How helpful will the drop rate be improved if I have just 7 arcane and use the foot?

From what I read the drop rate is only 8% with a huge investment in Arcane. Without Arcane it's approaching 0%.

I think Sparhawk was offering to come into your game and just drop it for you, or that you can just ask and someone else will.

The droprate is a base 8%. The Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot gives +50 item discovery, which due to the formula would be a bit less than a 50% increase (so a bit less than a 12% droprate). Also, with the point you are at in the game, if you're able to access the enemies that drop the sword, then you might also be able to go and get the Silver Scarab talisman, which gives +75 item discovery and stacks with the foot.

So yes, drop-rate increasing items have major increases.

Or, as others have offered, you can just get someone to drop the item for you. Or mod/hack it in. Whatever works. All depends on how much effort you want to put in. It's a singleplayer focused game, whatever is fun for you is the best choice.

You can also just go offline for 10 minutes, pop on something like WeMod to get 100% drop chance, get the thing, then go back online. That does not flag any bans since it was a legit drop. It's also less of a pain than using the merchant mod.

It will be helpful but it is best combined with Silver Scarab talisman.
Not that bad to farm it, I also like that sword and have it on several characters.
