You did the right thing, Blaidd sucks and Ranni does nothing for the lands between. Go for the frenzy flame ending.
If he's still alive, keep him like that. Look up where you can get a Celestial Dew item, and make your way to the Church of Vows in Liurnia, wouldn't take you longer than 15 minutes. You can go around Stormveil Castle if you're worried that you have to go through it first; there's a side path along the broken bridge along the castle's east side.
Correct.
He's still alive but I think that's cuz he's immortal and respawns because "You can't kill a shadow" or whatever. I've killed him once in self defense purely because it's my first time playing the game and I thought he was a special enemy or something because I haven't attacked any npcs so I had no reference point. I've visited a couple times afterwards, he's still there saying "Didn't tell you? You can't kill a shadow."
So if what constitutes a forgivable sin is the npc still breathing, the situation may be salvageable.
But if anyone knows for a fact that if you kill Blaidd he will never forgive you I'd appreciate that info. I've seen too much conflicting information far to know for sure.
I've since carved through Stormveil Castle and he's still angry.
