Where do I find stones to upgrade my weapon?
I am in the castle and my riper does not much of a damage and I only found a few stones to upgrade it two times. I feel very weak 🥲 is this how it supposed to be?

look for caves on the map, they are marked by a small black circular shape

some of those are mines that will give you a lot of stones

If the castle you talk about is stormveil, it should have a bunch of upgrade stones in there as well

You can find the stones in various locations, mainly in caves scattered throughout Limgrave. There are some scarabs that even drop Somber Smithing Stones.

But remember that the damage type of your weapon matters against the type of enemy you are fighting. Try using a slashing, crushing, standard or piercing weapon to see which does the most damage.

Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [1-4]
Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing [1-5]

return these to twin maidens to be able to buy infinite smithing stones

There's 1 in Liurnia, 1 in Caelid, 2 in Altus, 2 in Mountaintops, and the last ones are in an end-game location Crumbling Farum Azula

^ This, holes on the map are generally mines. They usually have stones.

Otherwise, OP you need bells to unlock stones to purchase from the finger maiden's husk in the round table hold.

If you explore the map before going to stormveil you should be able to get your weapons up to at least +4. Otherwise there are a ton of low-mid level stones everywhere in the DLC... you'll be tripping them.
