How do I start Shadow of the Erdtree?
I bought the expansion and it was installed, but I cannot see it anywhere. Do I have to finish the main game first?

I don't know if you ever figured out how to start the DLC, but you need to kill Radahn, then kill Mohg (at Mohgwyn Palace), and then touch the coccoon in the back of the arena where you fought Mohg.
Thank you.

The DLC is the best level design I've ever seen in my entire life, these games are not for you though
I agree. Even though I enjoy the moments between the boss fights. I play to relax, not to stress about bosses.

I feel somewhat the same way. I very much limit my time at Boss tries. Just a few each day. The minute I feel frustrated, I do something else.

That being said, Souls games are all about the Bosses. Everything else if just there to support the player getting to and defeating said Bosses. :)

Seems to be the FOTM with developers and the suits these days. :/
after reading some of the comments and where you stand on the game........ why did you even buy the DLC?? if the base game wasnt much enjoyable to you why throw more money at it?
Odal lähetti viestin:
Ah Fineous, you have still not learned to read? Who writes your posts?
I never cheated in Elden Ring, because I never used the cheat program to play. Only to understand how the game works. For that it was enough to investigate the first 5 minutes of the game. I almost finished the game, except for the last boss, without the cheat program. Where would be the fun in this? But then, even a genius like yourself has apparently trouble apprehending some simple facts.
I am sure I can expect a jester badge from you and your friends. That is what bullies do, right?

Dont be so melodramatic.......Im not trying to bully you. I just shared your old contribution so everyone can catch up with your lore (thats what i do!) .

Even before remembering who you are i got a similar reaction to your thread, just like this legend.

Now is when unironicaly say i wish i could help you in any way....So you get to enjoy Shadow of the Erdtree but im afraid there is nothing i can post or do for that......So...Meh.
his entire post history is about sucking at games.

I would argue that eldenring is pretty easy. that the base game is a walk in park once you understand how damage types work. A few bosses hit hard but you can pretty much just rush them down. I would argue bleed and frost is easy mode for most bosses even with a low level build.

IMO you won't enjoy the dlc.
while the world is amazing and more interesting then the base game, all the bosses are much harder.

on my NG6 char all the base game bosses are a walk in the park, where as most of the dlc bosses have 10x more hp. this is less apparent on the first NG cycle but its quite clear on every ng plus cycle.

I found out why. I find it really ridiculous that it is not a stand alone expansion. For the price, that would be the least to expect.

Can probably refund it if you don't want to play to it.

Once you start game with DLC you can't refund DLC
because save becomes unusable with base game.

DLC has some of the best legacy dungeons and bosses in all of ER

I find them too difficult. As far as I am concerned, the game would be better off without them.

I'm sorry, but why on earth would you buy this game if you knew it was gonna be like this? The dlc even, when you weren't enjoying the game?

I also get caught in the game, and try desperately to finish it. Sometimes I even get to enjoy it. I played Code Vein for hundred of hours and really loved ir. Even though it took me a couple of hundred hours to fiish it the first time. Ifinished many times. Like smart Fimeous would say, I suck at this kind of games. But, sometimes I don't mind. I played Elden Ring for about 300 hours, and I always got stuck at the last fight. The second part, with the final monster. Try what may, I could not defeat it. I watched many videos and that did not help. So, I decided I was not good enough. I'll try my hand at the dlc, we'll see how far I get. But I am already prepared for the worse.
Fineous, old boy! Where is my Jester Badge!
BTW, did you know that the court jester was the only who could criticize the king with impunity? Think of all the nice thing I could whisper in your ear!

You're too pathetic for a jester.
