Fallingstar Beast (Mission Success)
Whoever designed this deserves several restless nights. Both the crater one and the one in the small af room. I'd rather fight Bed of Chaos than this literal bull.

They are pretty fun and drop upgrade materials.
Immune to bleeding and frost but susceptible to rot and poison.

Use ranged attacks if you have trouble with them,
ranged Ashes of War, spells or crossbow for example.

as much as i hate them i really cant agree with bed of chaos being better.
Nah, the Fallingstar Beasts are pretty fun if you have a weapon with any range at all. Just make sure to target the white parts.

wait... are you saying the bed of chaos is hard or in some way frustrating? I didn't know this was a thing people felt because I'm not sure I've ever died to it and thought people thought it was a boring non event that you just had to do.

Like on my first playthrough of dark souls it took me 60 hours of playtime to finally progress to the point where i beat the tauros demon on the bridge... but bed of chaos was a 1 and done thing the first time so like... I had no idea people found it anything more than boring and uneventful (cool lore tho)

But yeah like most enemies in elden ring the fallen star beasts can really punish some playstyles more than others so sometimes if you find something beating you that badly you need to change how you're coming at it for that one time. Every build and playstyle needs some flexibility for fight or two like that tbh.

They are weak to elemental (fire, magic, lightning, holy) damage, so if you're not using sorcery/incants then use an ash of war with an elemental infusion, and ideally something with a strong purely elemental attack along with tears/talismans that buff that damage type.

So for example fire damage you might use Flaming Strike with Fire infusion, Flame Grant Me Strength, and Fire Shrouding Cracked tear. You can also use the Fire Scorpion Charm if you don't mind taking extra damage.

The white spots (face and butt) are weakest, but don't kill yourself trying to hit the weak spots, you'll still do decent damage to other parts.

You can also summon someone if you're really stuck.

I'm not used to using elemental stuff very much, coming from Dark Souls, so I'm gonna try branching out into that like you guys suggested. Thanks
Even if playing Str, Dex or Quality, you really should have at least one elemental option with how many enemies in this game are resistant to physical damage. The game even has a specific elemental infusion for every non-magical build (fire for Str, lightning for Dex and frost for quality).

I agree with most just want to point out Cold weapons are viable
for Strength and Dexterity builds as well, not just Quality.

There are weapons with good scaling for all those builds.

An easy way to beat the one in the crater is to stealth your way around to its backside, then use Poison Mist or whatever it's called until it procs, then rinse and repeat until dead. It's slow, but it's an easy method.
My problem with this boss is you just hug it close range and strafe/flank around it's side and it'll miss 90% of it's attacks. It's your typical Fromsoft boss and I wish they'd do more and expand boss attacks like they did with Sekiro.

my biggest problem with that is their wild AOE attack that I can't seem to escape unless I'm on torrent. usually that's my strategy though, is to hug beast-like bosses.

Mission success. Wasn't too bad after a few extra tries I guess. Baiting the charges worked great. Thanks bros
Well the Fallingstar Beasts are still more in line than their counterpart in the Flaming Bull
now find the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast
