Why are the Tarnished so weak?

Compared to...everything else in the game. Enemies have infinite FP. Infinite Stamina. Compare to the average creature in the game, the Tarnished are pathetic. Limited FP. Limited Stamina. Reliance on weapons being improved.
Why were they considered such great warriors if a random brainless guard could outlast them in a battle of endurance?

Lore wise the Nox priests created the mimics to clone the current Elden Lord, Godfrey i guess....So nah! IR the only Elden Lard here.

I feel the exact opposite. It actually makes me laugh when I think about an ant being able to kill a legendary giant by scratching at its ankles for a few minutes, not to mention demi-gods and an actual god has been beaten at RL 1 without getting hit by some mad lads.

it's heavily implied the tarnished weren't particularly special until the shattering when Grace decided the demigods weren't going to figure ♥♥♥♥ out.

Also it's just Souls-likes/FromSofts game design. You're a nobody, but you through your persistence and actions in game, become monarch in some form or another.
