What are the Black Knife Assassins?

Lore says they are 'rumored to be Numen', but that is not exactly iron clad evidence.
I could believe they were once Numen, but no way they still are. They are immune to bleed, rot, and poison. That means they are not living beings. Have to be some kind of golem or something. Maybe another version of false life like the mimics but they keep the bleed immunity even after taking a more human form?

Ranni killed her body and moved into a puppet. She keeps a dirtbag like Pidia around to make her more puppets. Puppet enemies are immune to bleed/poison/rot. BKA's work for Ranni. Do the math! XD
