Random freezes
Game as of late has randomly been freezing for a few seconds. Never had this issue before on this game and ive tried rolling back drivers/reinstalling the game and it will still freeze up. I did notice gpu usage drops to 0% when it does freeze so not sure what to do with that information. Normally run the game in all high settings on 2560x1440 besides raytracing i have that off. This issue seems to happen no matter how much i lower my settings.
Pc specs:
Liquid cooled 10900k (under volted/clocked)
3070
32gb of ram
game is installed on a 980evo pcie ssd 1TB
Cpu is liquid cooled and doesnt exceed 70 degrees Celsius
Gpu doesn’t exceed 75 degrees Celsius so not thinking its thermals. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know but I'm literally having the same issue. The past few days I didn't really have any problems with performance, and all of a sudden today its been very stuttery and freezing. This even happens in the non-open world areas like the catacombs. I lowered all my settings to medium and low to no avail.

Had the same problem. "Genius" here told that you just can't build woking hardware configuration, lol
But actually the only working fix I found is to install stutter fix mod.
You can do it only If you don't care about multiplayer because mods only available in offline mode

YOU can not build a working computer, this was said nothing more.
what your brain is doing with written words is a other thing.

You know, Dark, I don't really understand all these folks with performance systems that have all these problems and think it is the fault of the game.

I run a 12 year old system that started out as an i5-2500, upgraded to an i7-3770s. DDR3 Ram. Recent upgrade to a RTX 4060. I run at 1080p at about 45 FPS. Don't freeze. Don't stutter. Don't crash. Have 600+ hours with two complete play through runs.

I really don't get it. But it sure seems to be a common theme for folks with higher end systems. :/

yes newer hardware can run in a lot of problems, on internal hardware side, external hardware you put in and software they install.

i can also run this game stutter free on 3 different generations of hardware and have also found a lot of strange causes on newer systems for stutters.

it is not easy to narrow down without a lot of background knowledge and it can take much time so i pick the ppl that deserve help in such cases the guy above my post is not one of them.

I honestly don't see any reason why people should care about own configuration if 9/10 games run stable with high FPS, but a single one can't handle it.
Obviously, you can spend your time and google something to reconfigure your system for that special game, but for me it seems like obvious game problem. Especially if usermade GAME-mods fix it :D

I've been dealing with this issue as well, seems to happen when my GPU hits 100%, so it happens almost instantly if I use an FPS-unlocker, but can happen under the normal 60 cap as well.

Temporarily I've found that setting Low Latency Mode to On in NVCP fixes my issue, it seems to cap my GPU at 99%. It stops working if I ever tab out though, causing me to have to relaunch the game.

you even do not know why this mod "fix" your problem and which effect exactly cause that this "mod" change the way your system handle the game.
you simply do not know how to configure your system correctly (what also would produce better performance for all other games).
you do not understand how your computer works and you will not understand that this game simply runs on a full OS related utilisation.
as i said before stutters are a problem that is not gamecode related and to narrow down and fix it you need knowledge.

Seems a bit toxic, surely you'd want to help everyone with a few tips ;)

The variety of self-inflicted problems is too vast to provide comprehensive advice.

If someone is asked questions about a problem like this and told "I know what I'm doing, your questions are useless," they simply don't deserve help. You are not familiar with the content of the previous discussion, so this one is taken out of context.

found my fix.. i had my cpu undervolted which was only causing issues with this game which i found to be a little weird but raising my voltage solved my issue and i haven‘t had a problem since.

i just think with the newer higher end hardware its just not as plug and play as it used to be :/ in my experience the cpu undervolt boosted fps in a variety of games so i figured at the time it was stable given i had the undervolt on for quite a while including time i played elden. given the cpu is a few years old after a while they tend to need more voltage as they age so a slight undervolt could throw off stability. that is what i think was my issue at the time. currently slightly above its stock voltage and i have absolutely no problems with freezes or fps drops on any games i play including elden now that the cpu is stable. i appreciate you responding and giving insight :)
I've just bought the base game and I'm having the same problem. I have an OMEN Laptop from 2018 about (1660ti) and it works fine with most of the games, even Cyberpunk, but here even lowering the graphic doesn't fix the problem. I'm regretting buying the game.
