Igon, Drake Warrior cosplay build ideas

So I'm thinking of doing an Igon cosplay run, but the idea of having no melee weapon is a real problem.
So let's brainstorm on what Igon would use in melee. I was thinking highland axe for obvious reasons, and maybe some manner of shield?

The important part of any Igon cosplay run is to howl every random thought at the top of your lungs. "TIME TO DEFILE THE TOILET!" "THIS IS THE END OF YOU, BOWL OF MACARONI AND CHEESE!" and so forth. Do that, and you're 90% of the way there.

Yeah, that's why I'm making roar type stuff my main focus. Highland axe, roar medallion, war cry, etc.

Rusted anchor with offhand highland axe sounds really good.

I have the perfect selection for Igon. The Greathorn Hammer. The aesthetic is spot on, the scaling works great with his bow, and yes- the default AoW is a roar. The damage output could be better, but it should work fine as a sidearm. Oh, and as a cherry on top, it has a heal-on-kill effect, so it should be just peachy to keep in the offhand slot.
