How many attempts did it take everyone to beat Malenia?

I'm talking melee solo no summons nada,

I made the dumb decision to kill all the bosses in the base game then once done move to the DLC, I ain't good at this game and only doing melee and such so just wanna see how bad my decision was...

I've seen some stuff on people fighting her in the 300th's of attempts and honestly it worries me.

I've been keeping track of all the bosses killed so far on my profile with the attempts so still far away but the mere knowledge of her is enough to instill fear.

Maybe a dozen until I got annoyed and cheesed her with the greatbow spirit summon, and night comet.

Waterfowl dance? How about stunlock city, ♥♥♥♥♥!?!?!

Two attempts in a row she was using her grab attack while it was fading into the battle before i could see anything twice in a row first thing. She basically teleported towards me and insta killed me. Restarting the game fixed it though. If i include those, i think about 6 attempts?

oh probably 300 attempts ... till i slowed it down and payed attention then 3

Do ash-spams count as "melee"?

First playthrough i used the poleblade, and basically just microstaggered her into oblivion, so i think it was maybe about 5-10 attempts...

In my 2nd playthrough i think i used DMGS, and it was pretty rough to actually learn her - Took me about 2 hours i think, didn't count the attempts.

Nowadays, for me personally the only thing that mostly kills me is Waterfowl, but even that i can dodge fairly consistent (About 8/10 times if i had to guess)

Malenia's just the type of "Ultra hard at first, but pretty okay-ish after you learn her" Boss imo.

So are we talking melee only as in no consumables or weapons buffs? if so Then I haven't beaten her "Pure" even though people talk about summoning is cheese but then I see them spam weapon arts like a mad man. But uhh most likely around 10-15 tries

7. Godskin Duo
8. Astel, Star of Darkness
9. Placidusax
10. Fire Giant

IMO, there's widening chasm between Malenia and Mohg, and there's another widening chasm between Mohg and other bosses.

That was back in 22 before most patches - like 50+ attempts.

about 4, but i was super lucky and by chance picked samurai and thus was buy chance show that the dev never once though players would hit the weapon ability's over and over. turns out spamming weapon ability was far to complicated of a thing for the devs to ever test.

its rng. if she deiced to spam waterflow . its hard . is she deicede to spam flower atack is easy since you can safely trow ♥♥♥♥ on her . i always die few times with each character
