expansion this year 2025?
Will the game get any new expansion this year 2025 ? :Quiet:
I think they still need to close some things that are still unfinished in the lore.

no, it's only getting a spinoff that most likely won't have any canon lore

and things are always unfinished in fromsoftware's lore, it's what they do

No.
There is a copyright for another expansion, but it's like brand-new.
So people have estimated, 4-5 years into future will be a 2nd expansion.
this makes me a little upset...because dark souls 3 released the first dlc in 2016 and then in 2017. it would be nice if they did the same thing and released 1 per year. miyazaki could still make good money with the game haha :lunar2019piginablanket:

i mean ER's dlc is bigger than both DS3 dlcs combined

They already pushed the progression and content to the max, there's no need for more.

Probably not. Miyazaki's stance on ER is now the same as it is for the DS series, i.e. it's not impossible that there'll be sequels/DLC's, but definitely not any time soon.

Even the spinoff was a surprise, but we already know that it won't be related to the ER storyline in any way (everything after the Shattering is ignored).

None announced. Given how much lower quality SotE is compared to Elden Ring, I don't think they should even attempt another one.

Just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean you should phrase things as if you're speaking objectively when you're speaking subjectively. The expansion is objectively good, good enough to meet expectations for a GOTY nominee at TGA 2024.

So they're going to just milk Elden Ring like Bethesda is with Skyrim? I don't expect them to put out a new game any time soon, but 5+ years just for another expansion is kind of wild. At least they're taking their time rather than trying to release DS2, DS3, and Bloodborne within a 2 year timespan.
Everyone demands closure for stories in games and movies that are left "unfinished". And when they get that closure, the hate spews because it doesn't go the way their head canon does.
If you need an example, The Star Wars prequels is as far as you need to look.

You can pretty much google the fact they have stated they have no plans for more DLC or even a sequel to Elden Ring so I have no idea where this guy is getting these rumors from. Also, are you really trying to compare FromSoft to Bethesda because they made/making one spin-off a mere 3 years after the main game when Skyrim has been released nearly the same several times over the course of 14 years? Did FromSoft do that with any other their other games that makes you think this?
