and things are always unfinished in fromsoftware's lore, it's what they do
There is a copyright for another expansion, but it's like brand-new.
So people have estimated, 4-5 years into future will be a 2nd expansion.
i mean ER's dlc is bigger than both DS3 dlcs combined
They already pushed the progression and content to the max, there's no need for more.
Even the spinoff was a surprise, but we already know that it won't be related to the ER storyline in any way (everything after the Shattering is ignored).
So they're going to just milk Elden Ring like Bethesda is with Skyrim? I don't expect them to put out a new game any time soon, but 5+ years just for another expansion is kind of wild. At least they're taking their time rather than trying to release DS2, DS3, and Bloodborne within a 2 year timespan.
If you need an example, The Star Wars prequels is as far as you need to look.
You can pretty much google the fact they have stated they have no plans for more DLC or even a sequel to Elden Ring so I have no idea where this guy is getting these rumors from. Also, are you really trying to compare FromSoft to Bethesda because they made/making one spin-off a mere 3 years after the main game when Skyrim has been released nearly the same several times over the course of 14 years? Did FromSoft do that with any other their other games that makes you think this?
I was skeptical tho...
