I have to try this now!
It blew my mind and made for a final shocking discovery and epic boss fight at the end of the play through. So glad it worked out that way and I've always wondered how it happened.
In my NG+, I unlocked the site of grace, after defeating Fortissax.
But my guess is that as you progress, the game automatically unlocks that site of grace so in case you are locked into the frenzied flame ending, you can undo it without having to go through the whole Farum Azula.
That's just a guess though, but it makes the most sense to me as to why such a thing happens.
Anyone knows what triggers this oddity
Mohg was the second boss I defeated
Then I went for radahn
Didn’t trigger Rennalla
And entered dlc
Mind you I never defeated man before
