Potential MAJOR bug - Dragonlord Placidusax Grace available before defeating boss

I am not sure what triggered it but the grace at the center of the boss arena was available to me. So out of curiosity I teleported to it. It was a grave mistake for I spawned at the center of the arena with Pacidusax spawning directly on top of me. Every time I die to him, I spawned directly in the center of the fight... again and again and again lol.

Thankfully I was able to defeat him with out too many attempts but I am assuming this is a bug. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what you folks think triggered it.

I think what triggered it for me was defeating the Malformed Tree Sentinel outside of Malikeths boss room.

Yes must be a bug as graces only appear after the boss dies. Did you try to get to boss the correct way to see if that worked?

This happened to me on my first playthrough. I had already beaten elden beast and thought I was done with the game. I forget what I was even doing but I saw a site of grace with a strange name and traveled there out of curiosity.

It blew my mind and made for a final shocking discovery and epic boss fight at the end of the play through. So glad it worked out that way and I've always wondered how it happened.

It happened to me as well right after starting my second journey. I am unsure of the cause.

In my first play through I didn't have this bug. However in my current NG+, i got the same bug with the site of grace.
In my NG+, I unlocked the site of grace, after defeating Fortissax.

Did you use Millicent’s needle before killing placidusax? Perhaps that’s what caused it, otherwise I can’t think of another prompt the game would make to have the grace apprise before placidusax was dead.

This happened to me as well in NG+, and I thought it's a bug as well.
But my guess is that as you progress, the game automatically unlocks that site of grace so in case you are locked into the frenzied flame ending, you can undo it without having to go through the whole Farum Azula.
That's just a guess though, but it makes the most sense to me as to why such a thing happens.

Happened to me this afternoon. I fast traveled to it and Placi just spawned on top of me. Luckily I was RL 150 and he wasn't too much of a chore.
Anyone knows what triggers this oddity

Late reply but it happened in ng+ for me and I came to some reasons for mine:

Mohg was the second boss I defeated
Then I went for radahn
Didn’t trigger Rennalla
And entered dlc

Mind you I never defeated man before

Does it have to do with the rewards Ofnir offers you once you defeat certain bosses?
