Anybody else play Elden Ring reforged?
Been playing it for a fair bit now, makes elden ring actually somewhat decent, and while it addresses a lot of the issues I have with the game I gotta say bro should not be allowed to cook when it comes to bosses. These erdtree avatar revamps are awful and the "annoying lion enemy but with fire aoe" was straight garbage

Still a good overhaul other than that and wondering if anybody else has enjoyed it

I just started reforged with the fps unlocker mod and I'm having a blast. Aside from the overhauls the mod adds, the quality of life additions have been amazing. Getting a checkmark when you have cleared a dungeon is great so that when I load back a couple days later I know what I finished without having to memorize the whole map. As for the bosses, I've only fought the dismounted tree sentinel guarding the bridge to the weeping peninsula and thought it was cool. The new content rejuvenates the feeling of exploring that made elden ring magical in the first place. Also the ruins having magic seals to unlock is a cool addition as well.

Vanilla is better

All gameplay mods like this just turn the games into Wish.com souls
Is it at least free and not locked behind a paywall?

yes but when you've beaten the game 3 or 4 times, its nice to have a way to keep the experience fresh and engaging still.

Can I introduce you to my friends, Taunter's tongue, Recusant's finger, and Bloody finger?

I'm not saying you can't have fun doing pvp in elden ring, but it is poorly designed. The latency is atrocious, the status effect bug is broken, and multiplayer overall is super janky. This has been the case for pretty much all souls games.
I remember looking at this mod and some of the changes seemed questionable to me. It makes it difficult to try large overhaul mods like this because I don't necessarily share their opinions on certain aspects of the game, and since everything is bundled together into one large mod you can't just use the changes you agree with.

I get that, you're never going to agree with all the changes a big overhaul mod makes but having only played a few in the past (Cinders, Archethrones, and Convergence for DS3) this one feels like one that there's enough it does right for me to recommend it to most elden ring players as arguably an overall better experience.

Like I said, the author really shouldn't try his hands at making bosses (btw, the dismounted tree sentinel the other dude mentioned is just the dragonslayer armor from ds3...which is why it's okay lol) but pretty much anything else the mod does (combat changes like perfect timing attacks, deflects so you can kinda play like sekiro, and "generator spells" to make pure caster viable or other systems like the rune fragment stuff or consistent scaling) just works so well for me

If you haven't played elden ring in a while and/or don't hate doing the side content of elden ring at a fundamental level I'd def give it a whirl

Does the mod allow coop?

I don't have any friends so idk, pretty sure tho seeing as it went as far as having compatibility with the seamless co-op mod
