it all starts by analysing the windows event viewer crash log.

windows key+r
eventvwr
left side windows logs and there applications
you see a list of logs look for a red one event ID 1000 related to elden ring, post the log (in rare cases no log exist what would point to a damage in windows, let me know if this is the case)
I've been having the same problem the game closes after a minute.

this is what the error thing says

are there other red logs ? this one is not related to elden ring
anyway the error you posted is a windows component that crashed by a windows component the chance is high your OS has some form of failure, run a system repair

open command prompt as administrator and run
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
after this is finished
sfc /scannow

reinstall/repair c++ redistributables, run each download and use install or repair

https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
restart windows
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
restart windows
I tried running eldenring again and no new error showed up after it crashed

if you have the event viewer open it does not life actualize you have to manually actualize it or close and reopen it.
also for the windows error is says elevated permissions are required after i try running DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
i closed and reopened and still no new error

because you have have to run this commands by open the command prompt as administrator

to do this type into your taskbar CMD, the first result should be the command prompt click with the right mouse button onto it and use run as administrator
