Good thought.
Wow - good idea. So basic lol.
Sacred order gives 10% bonus damage to all damage you deal (spells, ashes, even some tools) and importantly gives you a massive bonus to damage against undead (which includes the ghostflame dragons)
Also you can stack it with itself (throw it on another weapon in your main hand) and Last Rites if you’re able to use Golden Epitaph.
I recommend Stone Club.
Damn..... almost 1000 hours in and there's still so much I don't know. Still, it adds faith scaling :(. Must see if I can use it with occult.
Wow that's insane !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much.
Body buff, eh ? Does it override Sacred Vow ??
edit : According to fextra, it's a weapon buff.
"Elden Ring Sacred Order Guide, Notes & Tips
This is an Ash of War Skill, associated with the Ash of War: Sacred Order.
FP Cost: 18
This Skill is not Chargeable
Damage +10% in PVE, and 2.5% in PVP
Deals +100% damage to undead icon 40px Undead type enemies and prevents Skeletons from reviving
Duration: 60 seconds.
Counts as a Weapon Buff."
Edit :
Evidently Last Rites is an Aura buff. So get that weapon, use the skill, then swap out.
Or use fire giant Hunt/rot Grease or change your weapon ART stat to default and use Holy Greases.
I'm waiting for a Holy Hand Grenade so I can go full Python.
Sorry, I totally misremembered that Last Rites is somehow differently counted than Sacred Order. Kind of ridiculous, but that does mean that they're able to stack on each other. And, even if you put Sacred Order on a weapon, you don't *need* to make it Sacred or Lightning, you're still able to keep it Standard/Keen/Heavy/Quality if you've got the whetstones. [/quote]
What I'm thinking is to just carry that short sword with Last Rites on it, use the skill and then swap out. Sounds like a good deal for all my toons, at least when they're fightin' those undead ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
