ELDEN RING
Promised Consort Radahn is the worst and most unfair boss in history
Radahn's second phase is an absolute joke. I'm playing a Faith build and my Holy incantations are useless because I'm getting destroyed every second. His jumping, absurd poise, and ridiculous gravity attacks completely prevent me from strategizing. As a Faith player, I have no chance to land quick attacks, Radahn just smashes through everything. This fight is just unfair and unnecessary difficulty! Radahn is an utterly ridiculous boss. For example, Nameless King in Dark Souls 3 and Ebrietas in Bloodborne, despite their difficulty, give you clear openings and strategic options. They don’t just punish you; they teach you to get better. Similarly, Genichiro in Sekiro forces you to be precise, making each move count.

Radahn, however, feels more like a test of patience than skill. Compared to him, other Souls bosses are well-balanced, fair, and rewarding. They challenge your abilities rather than just overwhelm you.
No boss could ever be as unfair as Radahn. The sheer nonsense of his attacks and poise make it feel like a bad joke. I’ve seen it all, but this boss? Absolutely unforgivable.Such a bad boss!

I killed him with a golden Halberd with charged heavy attacks and no summons or anything but it took me four hours to learn his move-set. I understand wanting to make a boss difficult but it sucks you have to spend hours of your day tediously studying every one of his moves.
The worst part about the dlc is not a boss. Its the base game. They used like the entire base game to gate keep something which could be also called ER2 and gave no option to just start the dlc, if you just want to replay the dlc, from the menu.

My guy, if you're being gate kept by the base game, you're going to have a very very bad time in the DLC.

If you know what you're doing, you can take a fresh save from start to DLC in only a few hours. In NG+, you can get from start to entrance in maybe an hour tops.
I mean he's a little tough, but honestly even pre-nerf I beat him and all I had to do was use a mimic, and I'm not that good so he was completely beatable without it. The only thing I really hated was how in the second phase it was hard to dodge his attacks as you couldn't see that well due to the lighthouse on his back.
I guess that's the problem Elden Ring more specifically SOTE has, lost the genre's way of fun for most ppl,now it only rewards those skilled players.By the way, exploration and adventure experience suck in SOTE.
1st phase was fun and exciting for me but when I got to 2nd phase and every combo was as long as a fighting game 100-0 combo with 3-5 second interval, miquella's every light spell's having aoe and damage while also being able to break high poise like paper I just didn't want to deal with that bs and did the glitch radahn through the map exploit and glad I did too with how lackluster that ending cinematic we got

I say get those infinite throwing daggers with bloodhound step and freezing element on them. The best dodge coupled with the longest melee range and if duel wielded you stack up lots of elemental damage while also slowing the boss down from what ever crack they got out of Germany chem lab.
phase 2 will never not feel like modded garbage.
I won't lie, it took me nearly a week of trying before I managed to take him down. but now I'm pretty good at parrying most of his attacks and have improved at parrying in general. the second time around still took me a few tries but was, of course, way easier

I like this. I will try it next time :steamhappy:
Can't cheese = Bad design... Sounds like a skill issue to me.
He is considered as a Demi-God, so obviously it won't be a walk in a park.

Pretty much all of his attacks can be avoided.
Heck, I would even say that first phase is harder, due to his double-swipe which can't be really taken on a single roll.

Game gives you plenty of tools to deal with encounters - and for this particular fight, you can even use horse.
By trying to outrun a horse-rider on a foot, you purposely puts yourself on disadvantage.

You could be onto something there.
If Miquella can ride Radahn we should be able to ride Malenia in this battle!

Ah well maybe in the sequel. Or Nigthreign.
Easily the crappiest boss and ending From have ever done. Similar to some other parts of the DLC it was totally phoned in, and completely stupid story point..in fact the whole miquella/radahn/Mohg little triangle is just lame af

The last boss should have been Leda + friends which was a fantastic fight. Then you roll up the stairs, find Miquella weakened at the twin boner towers. Make a choice: become the consort or step on his face, similar to Demon's Souls. No PCR, no silly cutscene of some kid sitting on a chair that basically just repeats what we've been told a few times already anyways.

real

Though if we got that as a final fight Leda should've had a full boss moveset and spawn after you kill her friends
