Why the DLC's low score review?

I'm hesistating to boy this because of the reviews on Steam. I don't know how this is nominated for GOTY if this has too many problems.

why did they even get banned? I haven't seen anything ban worthy from their comments that I read recently lol

A lot of the negative reviews are due to the performance issues or the EAC.

I cant see any reasonable pattern behind the review bombing.....But it happened, in fact Suicide Squad and Veilguard have better Steam score so i will let you draw your own conclussions (EA and Rocksteady scumbagged the negative reviews but thats a different can of worms).

Now Shadow of the Erdtree was extremly succesfull from a sales and public reception point of view, but all together with the classic EAC and performance issues there was a massive chorus of people complaining about the difficulty spike, to the point some "yOuTuBeRs" parroted the negative mantra about HaRd GaEM BaD and it became a meme.

Just buy Shadow of the Erdtree already, OP. Specially if you enjoyed the main game and just want more Elden Ring. Damn the the reviews and everything else to hell! You are going to be the one buying and playing it.

Obviously you should enjoy games however you like, but don't listen to idiots who tell you "this is the right way to enjoy this". It's not, that guy is a schizo and needs help irl and touch some grass.

And just to point it out and be very clear about this: This guy is the reason everybody hates gaming journalists. They tell you random ♥♥♥♥ that idiots like him believe and then go around telling everybody about it. But dude, all people in here played the game. We know how out of touch you are.
DO NOT just believe random ♥♥♥♥ you read on IGN or similar websites. People who write articles call themselves "journalists" but in fact they are just random plebs with no education put in place. That is also why the quality of most of the things they publish is insanely low.

I apologize if I came over as schizophrenic, it is clear most responders truly like the DLC so I intended to balance the thread out a bit. Stated as an opinion of a random player, certainly not as fact.

DLC is way better than the base game

The DLC is really good, it's a frustrating 95% out of 100. It's not as good as the base game but it's still better than 90% of full games that are on the market. I highly recommend playing it.
