Souls games are dying to Anime

What differentiates the Dark Souls series from other games with generic medieval knights is the contrast between dark fantasy and the suffering of a simple warrior trying to overcome extreme challenges, in this the Souls series does very well. The souls series have a tone in the "dance" of combat, imitating something realistic but fanciful, the combat is slower, strategic, with a footprint more focused on reality than it is to wield a 10kg sword with both hands in a field of battle.
As you all know, Elden Ring had a lot of influences from Sekiro, which in turn, has a lot of influence from Asian culture and... yes, ANIMES. With infinite jumps and pirouettes, edge characters, lots of shiny attacks and rays of light everywhere... Anyway, Elden Ring tried to bring a balance between both these two worlds, but this attempt to balance brought with it a new fanbase, several newbies using anime profile pics everywhere, abusing weapons that From Software itself has buffed precisely to increase the interest of this type of audience. Elden Ring is CONTAMINATED by ANIME! The most powerful weapon in the game until the arrival of patch 1.06 was exactly what? AN ANIME SWORD with attacks exactly the same as in an ANIME EPISODE... And that's not all, there are SEVERAL like this one, I can mention, for example Moonveil Katana, another ANIME weapon. And what do all these weapons have in common? ALL OF THEM ARE HORRIBLY BROKEN, with insane damage and reach!
All of this is happening because From Software let WEEBS into our community! We must unite and stop these hentai consumers! We have to get rid of the influence of these perverts who spend all day on p0rnHvb watching cartoons of 14 year old girls doing inappropriate things and moaning like little children.

Anime is a cancer on this planet and needs to be stopped!

I keep distance from the sentiment of the post and the demonization of "weebs".

But actually, I think a lot of the attacks are so unrealistic, that it's sometimes hard to assess, how you need to react. f.e. misbegotten leonine jumps in the air and tracks you from there and rushes down huge distances. or of course waterfowl or horah loux rush around like a maniac football player.
The problem with that is not generally that it's unrealistic or anime-like, but you need to learn, how the rules of each attack is. You cannot say, the guy is so far away, that its safe to chug an estus, but you have to always expect the most crazy moves. I think, that makes the game a bit frustrating.
Or I heard yesterday: "In ER, you don't dance with the enemy, but you watch the enemy do a crazy breakdance".

This post is really sad cause you say that all anime fans are degenerates who are polluting the community but i want to remind you that gaming was considered a thing for nerds that never had a social interaction with anyone but their family and there are still people who think that way. The point is that in every large commutiny there are people who are like that but it doesn't mean it's becouse they watch anime but becouse they may have been raised in patologic conditions or maybe becouse of the enviroment they live in and the people in that enviroment. So before you start writing some nonsence like you are on twitter maybe consider waching an anime or two with similar themes to souls games like "Berserk" and then give your opinion about it.

While I assume he is farming for clowns; something else that is really funny about people usually against "weebs" as they call them - they seemingly forget something like Dragon Ball Z, YuGiOh, Pokemon is even more anime/manga inspired than the Berserk inspired From games, as they are literally anime/manga.

Hell - I would almost even go as far as saying Legend of Zelda to a much lesser degree has a sort of "Nintendo Anime" feel as I like to call it (a chosen magical hero to destroy evil story; how many animes are like this? Dozens? maybe hundreds?).

Edit : Though - Twilight Princess was much less in that pool, that game was more like a Stephen King film for kids (but a step above goosebumps).

To be fair - no, it wasn't. Things like Havel armor and the dragon tooth are just as far out there. Combat was slower-paced, and some weapons and armor looked realistic or had some realistic swings - but those are still present in ER.
