Need summoning information

Hello, I've tried searching the web and unfortunately failed for information regarding the rules on summoning. I've beaten the game, love it, but I'm trying to build certain level characters for certain bosses to help other players, however it's easy to overlevel yourself, or your weapon, flashs, etc very easily. I was wondering if anyone has done a deep dive yet into the summoning mechanics and if there's any information all sourced in one area.

if this is the same as dark souls, mean your level ans 10% more up and down, meaning if you are lvl 100, you can summon from lvl 90 to 110... and weapons on the same lvl as you

No summon in coop. Because .. you´re summoned. Or vice versa.

a lvl 135 ought to be able to summon everyone from 112 to 158

ok here is a cheat sheet for ya
1-to Summon friends lay down the rememdey then look for finger on ground
2- to be summoned by friend lay down golden finger and wait
3- to help in boss fights for random players select the staff and wait
4- to invade lay down bloody finger
5- to be invaded lay down remedy and select taunters tongue then wait

you can summon or be summoned at any level with any level ive tested this with my level 330 and my friend at level 1 the only issue i see is if they complete the boss for that vicinity it locks you out all together like when my buddy beat Godrick he couldnt summon me to stormviel castle until he was graced in linuria lakes its weird but for some reason if you complete the boss you cant summon anyone till you started a different journey to the next area

I do appreciate everyone's quick responses, but I do speculate that weapon level also contributes to who can and cannot summon you. I've seen some people mention it online during my searches, and in my own experiences I overleveled for a certain boss to be summoned solely by leveling up my sword. The more powerful my weapon became, the more rare the summons for the boss battle became, so i do think it factors in. I also think the amount of + you have on the flasks may factor in as well.

That's awesome to know, but that's for friends. I'm talking I build characters for certain bosses that I only help random players with so I need to try and figure out exactly what level my weapons can be, my character, my flasks, so on.

Just play through the game with any build like normal and use your summon sign or effigy thing in each area. You can use a guide to get a rough level/weapon level range for the area, just google it, but it won't be precise you just have to think what level or upgrade people are likely to be in said area given what is available there.

You could try a holy build with some pyro for bosses, as Faith will give you good healing and buff magic for co-op.

Input ur lvl n highest weap upgrade lvl n see ur stuff , PW don't count , it always works but scaling applies.
