Help w/ the tank Knight in Nokron

I'm at just after the grace at the edge of the cliff where you have to walk along the buttress and drop down to a small round landing on the tower. There's a giant knight there with horned shield and I can't kill him. The place is cramp and I can't dodge. The knight pretty much occupies the entire room. Three swipes and the stance breaks. I can kinda parry, but with the space given, I don't have any room to move and aim to parry the move I can. It's just impossible. I'm about to run my fist through screen and at this point, I NEED TO KILL this fkr before I move on. Any advice? I'm sooooooooo mad I need to kill this POS.

you can also just IGNORE him and move on. he isnt a required kill you know. and he doesnt follow you if you doesnt spot you. wait for him to walk past and then jump down and move on.
you dont always have to fight stuff thats in the way. people need to learn that.
you can also just arrow/spell cheese him from above the cliff. you can also make him slide off the cliff by baiting his winged sweep fly move and dodgeing with your back to a cliff while he does it. hell fall down and die instantly.

You can make him go 2nd phase, and then face the part, where behind you will be the cliff. When he flies into you, he might drop himself off the cliff.

You can just stealth past and come back later after you git gud if you want.

Is this the one that patrols a very long straight path and on a parallelish corridor is another knight, Tree Knight I think with a spear? If so I killed them both but I wouldn't recommend it, you need to pull the knight into the wide corridor so you don't need to worry about gravity, as for the fight, he hits like a truck but poking his shield makes him windup the shield bash which is a free hit, or you can fight him normally. Also the side room needs to be clear or you'll draw more aggro

Thanks, Miles and Mori. I parried him to the second phase and lured him off ledge. Now I'm learning to parry the spear as well.
