Margit harder than Godrick?

Doing a 2nd playthrough and getting some introspec on these bosses while playing a little underleveled. I beat Margit lvl 10 wretch (naked)with a spiked club and it damn near took me 50 tries. I just beat Godrick after my 5th try lvl 15...I went from a +4 weapon to a +5.

That said...I felt Margit is A LOT harder of a boss than Godrick with equal stats. Anyone else feel this way? Or do I just suck at Margit lol.

I was wearing armor for Godrick but over all I think Godricks moves were way easier to time and dodge. I also felt like he was left open for more attack opportunities

They are equally easy. I'm not trying to act like a badass, I just didn't notice much difference.

I think that a lot of it is just shock in progression. We go from a somewhat welcome introduction, where we just avoid some more powerful foes. That in mind, Patches has something that makes Margit worlds easier.

I mean, lore wise it kinda makes sense, considering who Margit really is.

Godrick is also described as the 'runt of the litter', and is the weakest Shardbearer.

godricks openings are a lot longer andhis second phase is a lot slower. margit on the other hand if you dont do a lot of dmg is a massive chore to get trough with all his fake attack cooldowns and holy dmg is quite the pickle

I'm saying a lot harder too...Margit had a mix of quick hits and delayed attacks...mechanically margit takes way more skill to take down. I mean lorewise it makes sense...but Godrick felt like a joke for a Rune boss.

I could say the same about Ranalli tho...she's easy as hell..I guess it is what it is...The hardest bosses are optional and isn't Margit technically optional?

rannalla is meant to be hard for mages especially if you didnt look up any guides for her as her magic resistance is insanly high so if you didnt get rock sling yet and are going pure caster its a pretty tough fight shes terrible weak to melee tho so for most first runs shes very easy

Well take in mind Godrick was basically a nobody to all demigods, being seeing has the weakest and most pathetic, the only reason hes even remotely strong is because of the grafting which basically means he stole powers from others.

Well take in mind Godrick was basically a nobody to all demigods, being seeing has the weakest and most pathetic, the only reason hes even remotely strong is because of the grafting which basically means he stole powers from others.

His 2nd phase wasn't even that much harder than his 1st...

Also I'd like to note, Margit was on a hill with a cliff. Made jump attacks a little more wonky.

Maybe I'll rl 1 this game and make a list...it's just interesting

Gameplay wise, considering their first encounters, I think Godrick slightly takes the edge, although equally easy in terms of moveset for me, Godrick it feels have a bit more health.

Godrick does have more health...but his move set is slower and easy to dodge..idk need to rl 1 both to give a fair comparison

My first time fighting margit was really quite dreadful i had a brass shield and a +1 lordsworn straight sword and was around lvl 30. I can tell you my successful attempt took me close to 30 mins that was just god awful now in my more recent runs i absolutely clown on him after fighting him 3 times per run but man hes a real ass if you just wanna go in blind headfirst

The thing is that I explored Caelid and even killed Radhan before exploring stormveil castle the first time, so they both fell incredibly fast. And when I made a new character I had already figured out their moveset.

The trick is to go in RL 1 with a Longsword....flask enough to heal entire bar and same armor..I did use 1 more flask for Godrick...but Godrick was soo much easier to heal with.

I'm gunna end up doing that...maybe I'll record it and necro this..I got nothing better to do and the spring/summer gane drought is on.

Margit scares me tho lol...the only reason I was able to finish him was because I equipped a fire bomb for his kill hit...I'm about 90% sure he wouldve killed me that round otherwise. I honestly don't know if I could rl 1 him...I feel like I could with Godrick tho
