Mushroom armor does nothing to prevent speed of rot buildup.
Got the mushroom set to more easily get around the rot area of halig tree before Malenia and with a 443 immunity level the rot buildup speed seems to go at the same rate as if I were wearing anythign else.

It doesnt affect the speed, it just gives you a bigger bar.

As Emily has pointed it, while it certainly doesn't help on the speed, it helps how LONG you can stay in rot, or how many hits (with rot buildup) you can take.

Imagine making a game where you actually told the players what equipment and items do.

This may be a silly question, but I've always wondered. If I have a bigger bar and I take longer to get poisoned, does that mean that when I'm poisoned I'm poisoned for longer? In turn taking more damage?

I'm wondering this because it always seems like it takes longer for me to wait out poison or rot once I have all this resistance gear equipped.

The mushroom armor works far better when using any form of Madness build than a means of reducing the time of obtaining rot. You're far better off using spells/consumables to remove the effect whenever it activates.

You know, i actually wonder that myself. You could try it by stacking up on immunity stuff, standing in the poison in the starting areas stone key path, and then doing it again without.

I read them all. But I've also played a lot of much better designed video games. In this game often times it'll say something like "Greatly increases your resistance to X" but doesn't tell you by how much. You might be thinking it's something like 50-70% but it ends up just being lik 12% in this game.

Oddly enough, no. Poison and Rot have a time limit. Unless it's just glitchy, I've had poison wear off at a quarter of a bar left before.

I do think Rot will kill you before the timeing ticks on it though.

literally just use the Flame, Cleanse Me incantation or craft boluses

Rot is forever, unlike love or community. But seriously you just get a longer resistance 'till' you are infected, then infected regardless. Have to rely on faith spell cure, or the bleed cure from crafting.

(Also worth mentioning that resistance is a flat out lie. You will never resist anything in this game even close to 100%) Fake or flat out incorrect wording in game.
