Erdtree Avatars and burning the Erdtree

I burned the Erdtree and then went to the Minor Erdtree in Consecrated Snowfields and the avatar is a no-show; I guess burning the tree stops the avatars from spawning.

I still saw the one in Haglitree after burning the Erdtree.

that particular avatar has a very weird spawn trigger, you need to climb the big stone near his spawn location to get him to spawn. i was running around for a while there, looking for him, but he didn't spawn until i essentially gave up and moved on.
the fact i got him to spawn at all was a total coincidence.

Is this the first time you've tried fighting that Avatar?
Cause I thought that tree had no Avatar first time I visited, until I noticed it was hiding to the left when standing relatively close to the tree

Haven't fought it, will probably go look for it again next time I play.

You were right; I jumped up two platforms of the huge rock next to the tree and it spawned immediately
