white screen cant start game

i played like 24h in game and now i cant start the game. it opened but than white screen and it close itself?? can somebody help pls

i could but there are two other ppl in this forum claiming they help better so you are stuck to this error until the two guys want to help you, as far i can see they never fixed an whitescreen crash before so hope is the only thing you have.

+1 on the same issue, spent few hours playing the game, got a power off in my home, now game does not start, white screen and it shuts itself down.

The time the white screen is showing is when EAC is checking for apps and cheats. Apps running in the background that EAC does not like such as MSi Afterburner or Riva Tuner or any apps that injects itself into the game will cause EAC to just end the game booting up. White screen shows in a normal boot of the game for about 5 seconds and then it goes to a short black screen before the game screen shows.

yes apps appear after a poweroff from nowhere, funny explanation.

I personally had a white screen crash issue. Ended it by ending Afterburner and Riva tuner before starting game. No problems since.. SO i know first hand this to be true.

I don't understand your comment...they are background apps that inject information such as fPS and CPU and GPU temps and utilization on to the game screen why it is running. Afterburner can also control your fans and be used for overclocking. There icons will be down in the background apps in the right corner in WIndows. just right click them and click close.

Fixed this for myself, I have turned off steam cloud sync, removed elden ring folder from appdata/roaming, and deleted everything from %temp%, and now suddenly it works. Of course you will lose your save game by doing that.

Press Win+R and type “%Temp%”
A new window will open up
Here you will find multiple files and folders with random names
These files have no use, just press Ctrl+A to select all files and delete them.
