What's the point of the Hunters
To help? What's the point if they spawn so damn far from the Host that they either die, or win before you even get to them to "help" 75% of the time (at least for me). Even as an invader the hunter who joined tonight killed me after I was standing over the host's corpse waiting to load back into my game because they spawned so far away. The first few times I did it around launch I don't remember spawning so far away, so did something change?

I guess its more of a balance thing?

Since spawning the Hunter really close to the Host, would kinda be unfair to Invaders, specially considering they likely have to deal with Summons

Well I can understand that, but I still think distance should be reduced by maybe 15% or something. They should still be able to at least get to the Host to help rather than get there to simply watch the host die or kill the invader lol

well.. If a host can't stand his ground/run till the blue comes, 1 blue most likely won't be enough to keep the host alive

That's why I think they should spawn just a tiny bit closer lol. Could also just give invaders a bit more health and spawn the blue very close. I honestly think that would be a bit interesting.

I've had blues come in RIGHT behind me when invading, it's such a pain as there's an invincibility timer when someone is summoned, and they can attack right before they're even announced.

Ah, this is less of a Hunter issue and more an issue about how Invasions work altogether. Invaders and Hunters are summoned in one of like 8 spots within in area, and they don't really discriminate based on where the host is. So in a place like the Frozen Lake, the invader or hunter might spawn up at the tower, which is like a three minute walk from the grace, where the invader/hunter might also be summoned.

For this reason, while invaders can take their time to hunt the host and thus are only annoyed by the long walk, hunters are extremely inconvenienced and, sometimes, rendered useless.
