How does Blood Builds deal with enemies immune to blood loss?
The title says it all. It is one of those questions that I have been wondering about. Yeah, Blood Loss is good if it is against someone that can actually be affected by it, but what about those who is immune to it?

There are weapon arts/ashes of war that have blood effects that just do a flat amount of large damage. Or depending on what your doing you just get a second weapon that focuses on your secondary damage stat. Your build is still fairly strong even without hemorrhage I wouldn't worry so much.

Ashes can be connected to the weapon in varying factors, occult for example provides no proc for the return of raw damage while still making arc relevant to the scale.

Same with all varied weapons, and there are special stones that can even change the scale format of the weapon entirely. Gl hf

Even without bleed most weapons with bleed tend to be strong damage wise if you have occult scaling, plus they're generally pretty nimble weapons, so you'll still out DPS most other builds without the bleed. RoB's art still deals around 4-5k damage without bleed from what i've seen.

Utchikatana and RoB do awe inspiring amounts of damage to enemies immune to bleed.
If you are pure arcane, probably going to have a hard time. Occult scaling, on the other hand, is the most viable overall because it actually adds flat damage to your weapon instead of just adding higher bleed proc. And if im not mistaken, blood weapons deal less damage to favor more bleed proc. So if an enemy is completely resistant to bleed and you're rocking a blood weapon instead of an occult one, you'll be having a bad time.

I did a arc/faith build on my last playthrough. Whenever I encountered bleed immune enemies (Gargoyles, Stone Giants, etc), I swapped to a my dragon communion seal and threw some beast slings at them until they died. Worked pretty well, especially because beast sling does a surprisingly high amount of poise damage.

i dunno on my iron gretsword just using the blood infusion gives bleed AND MORE ATTACK POWER than occult infusion but maybe it's because i have high strength too?

i'm legit wondering what's even the point of having occult

or probably blood is just that much broken

if the weapon already has bleed occult also buffs the innate bleed anyways and puts it up closer.

Blood doesn't scale as much with ARC as the others so high str and/or dex will still generally beat out and allow good flat damage. Occult is only all that great on high arc builds that lack high str/dex

Uhm... We have more than just bleed weapons.
Any good player will have some utility weapons to take advantage of elemental weakness, fire, lightning, poison, holy. Even if the scaling isn't in line with your build the weakness alone makes up for that.
