Shard of Alexander Quest Broken
I have read some players cannot complete Iron Fists Alexander's quest to get the Shard of Alexander because he's not found at various locations after beating Radahn.

Anyone knows what breaks this quest or a workaround?

Thats strange. Regardless if you find him beforehand or not.. he should be at the radahn area once you defeated radahn.. that one is the trigger for him to move to mt gelmir.

You might have to look at the former locations. But the way it is now it seems like a bug. SInce after 5 playthroughs.. I only did everything in regards to him one single time. The remaining 4 times.. I started his stuff always at radahns.

The quest lines are set if you Google it follow to the letter usually they work OK. Deviate from it and boom its broken. If you need shard best option ask for it on forum

I had this happen to my second character, and the main similarity I found with others is any sort of sequence breaking in his quest just breaks it. I missed him in upper Limgrave, and met him first in the Gael Tunnel. Now he's stuck at Radahn's battlefield, cycling the same dialogue.

Weird. I missed him in Gael Tunnel and in Lake Liurnia, but the quest progressed normally to the end.

After defeating Radahn, I didn't know to look him up at Liurnia Lakes, and his sign was not at the Fire Giant whom I have already defeated. Then I can't find him in Volcano Manor or Crumbling Fumble Azure.

So there's no way to get the shard except in NG+?

Unfortunately there's no fix at this stage. It's a very common bug though, so I'm hoping it comes in the next patch. For now if you're really desperate, you can go to the trading forum to see if anyone will drop it for you.

You can skip everything before the Radahn fight. After exhausting Alexander's dialogue upon defeating Radahn, move to Mt. Gelmir. You then have to defeat the Magma Wyrm that resides next to Fort Laidd. Upon defeating the Magma Wyrm, exhaust Alexander's dialogue once again. He is sitting at the back end of the lava lake. The last spot you will have to visit him at is now at Farum Azula.

Is he near the Site of Grace where Radahn was defeated? I shall check again later but don't remember seeing him when I returned to the site and he wasn't in Limgrave after defeating the Magma Wyrm.

There's a bug that causes Alexander to not move from Radahn's arena. Everyone is aware of how the quest is supposed to go, but this is a known bug. There are threads all over reddit talking about it.

Yes. After defeating Radahn both Blaidd and Alexander are found nearby the Starscourage Radahn grace. But I don't know if you are still able to find either of the two at that place at this point. It may already be too late.

There is no to late for alexanders questline. As long as he moves from radahn area to lava lake where the magma wyrm is.. and from there to azula.. you are set. The stuff before that can be skipped.

I have defeated Magma Wyrm in the lava pool near Volcano Manor but he's not there. I have visited every spot where he's supposed to be but he's not found. I met him first time in Limgrave and then before/after Radahn's fight, and then he's gone.
