Nope I have tried duel heavy weapon build with a specific Ash of War and I one shot everyone in pvp with it.

It's actually not that fun since it's too easy

sounds fun to me, I'd like to 1 shot people too since Im sick of getting killed by naginata and RoB

Greatswords, great axes, and great hammers are all fantastic weapons. It's only colossal weapons that suck. Too slow to do anything against most bosses besides trade hits. Colossal swords are saved by the roll / crouch poke, but otherwise are still useless.

STR is viable at all points of the game. You just have to build for the right weapons.

I felt my strength build performed really well tbh. Unless you're talking about PVP, I don't really do that much, so maybe it sucks PVP

Pretty much everything sucks in PvP except for Rivers of Blood and carian retaliation glitch.

Try to use Raptor of mist Ash of War on an heavy weapon that can take it.

Dual weild those heavy weapon and try it, jump attack damage should be insane enough to one shot anyone, especially no one espect that Ash of War

Which just proves what I've been saying. It's not STR as a whole that sucks, just colossal swords and colossal weapons (because for reasons I can't fathom, they made their attack recovery slower than in DS3 but made every boss 10x faster).

I mean some people are having beating those weapons because they're so played against that they become predictable. If you played against the same character in Smash Bros every day of your life, you would become a pro at dealing with that character. Every other character in the game would become more powerful because you lack experience against them.

felt it while fighting malenia with my brother, I use greatsword +25 and with royal knight resolve and deals 1600+ dmg but it doesn't look it like it dealt much to malenia meanwhile my brother who use RoB dealt a ton.. How I wish colossal swords lives up to its name for being COLOSSAL.

I'm ready to jump into NG+2 with my Str/Fth build. If you jump-attack and break stance, basically all bosses can be riposted easily.

Depends on the build.

I did str/faith at the end of my playthrough. Ran bloodhounds fang + magma wyrm scalesword, jump attack talisman, and used flame grant me strength + golden vow. I killed elden beast right after the first ring he does (basically before he does anything). Godfrey as well I killed in like 20 seconds.

Most of the game before that point I ran bloodhounds fang by itself without the faith buffs. Technically that's more of a dex/quality build, but I mean I could just pick a strength greatsword and then it would be a strength build. It worked fine.

Worst case you can overlevel a bit and find up to +9 from dragonsbarrow, and you've pretty much got a free pass to every boss up to fire giant (or maybe whoever you fight after him. That boss is really easy so long as you have enough armor/vigor that he can't 1 shot you, which I don't see why you wouldn't when strength is the only damage related stat you need).

I guess arguably you might need more levels/upgrades for the same difficulty level, but the point is that if you want an easy time you can still have it with strength.

I assume when people say strength, they mean colossal, not strength the stat. Even then you could probably beat pretty much any boss through hit trading (and obviously dodging powerful moves like malenia's waterfowl).

Malenia is particularly vulnerable to bleed/cold builds, and she in particular is really vulnerable to fast attacks because she gets staggered by anything.

Some of the other late game bosses are more vulnerable to the strength builds. Although rivers of blood is just really good so its probably better against almost all of them.
