only her close range waterfowl is complete bs... but you can just use barricade shield ash
and its no problem anymore

Summon them outside of the fog gate, then just step inside. No invasions. And if someone does happen to invade in the 10 seconds it'll take you to summon someone, they'll get kicked out once you enter Malenia anyways.
