But if you are actually talking about a random toothpick...well im sorry for your character.
So do yourself a favor and get a Mogh trident...there is no better choice.
No need to be a prune in the mudhole.
The lance is a fun weapon, pair it with a shield and poke things to unalive.
Come on boy.....you got a clear and straight answer.....i was talking about a spear. Wich it happens to be the most powerful weapon of the game....and what Twistybanana said.
Get a good shield and a decent spear. You will be able to pretty much complete the game in the easiest and safest way possible.
Is that clear enough?.....or want me to shut up?
When asking for help/advice, it's likely not in your own best interest to insult those assisting you. There's a polite way to say, "My question pertains to this particular weapon". But perhaps getting your cheap shots in and trying to tear someone down is more important than your original question.
Then again, the greatest kindness will not bind the ungrateful...
You're not a very pleasant individual, are you? Not sure what English has to do with it, but does this help?
be kind

Clear now. Right then you actually can get an amazing lance early game. Start with a standard lance, after leveling up a bit use the trap chest in Limgrave lake ruins. Fight your way out the crystal tunnel and unlock the grace near commander Oneil.
If you pay attention you will notice some clean rot knights spawning from the rot juices. They drop this.

This is one of the best spears of the game, less heavy than Mogh trident, and the ash of war actually destroys anything not holy resistant. Start with a normal spear, dont be afraid to upgrade it (Cleanrot spear need somber stones while the normals as you know just common smithing stones).
My friend.....cant do it better...hope it helps.
Perhaps I did not understand that this is one name for many weapons, it's just that my game is in a different language. If you are talking about this, then I understand.
A couple more things I just thought of. It felt heavy when swinging, which made it feel extra fun. Some other spears feel wimpy to me.
...this weapon displays its worth in horseback combat whether mounted or even on foot.
I found that it didn't feel better on horseback. So I was disappointed at that. Not that I do a lot of horseback combat, but I expected something extra from using it in that way.
I mostly used it like this. Fun times.
Some people prize cross naginata for high bleed but this weapon has higher damage and can have higher bleed build up.
Mogh’s trident has super good weapon art for pve but dual lance (dual only in ng+) with bleed is amazing for jump attacks and running L1. You can also dual wield the lance and Mogh’s trident.
Spear + a greatshield make the game really easy.
