game wont stop downloading (again)

the game got stuck downloading at 100% and i dont know what to do

its not downloading any more, its patching 40GB.

Just leave it should finish up at some point, when it does remember to do a verify of game files

Yea, I'm getting same thing, I verified it didnt work so I reinstall it and it worked but next day it started up again with need to download a 42 gb patch. What the hell did the developers do to this game?

it sounds like your filesystem is damaged.

two ways:

1. the best way is to repair your filesystem first open cmd as administrator and repair it with
chkdsk X: /x /f (where x is the drive where elden ring is installed and it needs a restart and take some time)

verify gamefiles again or reinstall like 2.

2. the fast way is to uninstall the game delete the game folder and reinstall it

Make sure you have enough space. It needs to expand so make sure you have 40-50GBs free space.

that was a joke at the fact that the guy claimed to have literally tried everything without listing what he tried and asked if we had anything he didn't try.

What I'm on about is that I'm not going to put an exact free space requirement because it may be different for everyone. My game didn't patch before it had 37GBs free and another time, 41GBs free. The game is roughly 50GB so the point of my post is, the more space you have to allow for patching, the better.
