X-Input controller(8bitdo Pro2) problem - left analog activates dpad?

So, I have an 8bitdo Pro 2 in X mode, inputs work fine except for the left analog.
It both moves the player AND the d-pad options. It does not do it in other games. Anyone else had this problem?

There is an easy fix. Navigate to Amazon dot com and put a Microsoft Xbox controller in your cart. Purchase the item and set it up using the included instructions. Solves 100% of goofy non-standard controller issues.

don't you have an app to map the buttons for that controller?

controller
test the different options to see if any of them recognize your controller correctly

Also, if using a controller, be sure to try it (and calibrate it) while in Big Screen mode.

I’m glad you posted it as I was considering buying this controller. My other xbox controller died. I may buy xbox version of this gamepad.
In the meantime I use ps4 controller that has official support.

FYI, the solution was to disable Steam Input in every game. Right click on the game -> Properties -> Controller -> Disable Steam Input.
For anyone wondering, I would recommend a Dualshock or Dualsense instead if you plan to use it on Steam.
