Patch 1.07 scarlet aeonia discussion is it now viable?
Its always been an incantation that I really wanted to use, now that there is a new patch I have been trying different ways to get a consistant hit but not much success. (It's in Duels) But what I did found out that although there a lot of misses I was able to still be able to get out safely unless met with mage users or the like etc... I have met melee players who could still get that back stab only if they aren't afraid of the rot. In a way although it may be due to my skill being average I definitley felt the impact of the buff this time.

Depends. In PvE? It was already viable before, now it's even better. PvP? Nope, still easy af to dodge and punish

Edit: spam dodge while the flower blooms.

From a 100% PVE point of view. They ruined Ekzykes decay as a reliable source of rot....
I was able to rot Astel with one cast, took me 3 now. So even for PVE the aeonia is the best source of rot for bosses.

I hadn't consider much of the pve but now with the buff ill give it a shot on bosses for co op, glad to see such a cool incantation starting to go around more.

rot breath 100% deserved the nerf even in pve

Even without giving a damn about PVP and my goal being as much overpowered and disgusting posible in PVE......im going to agree with you.
One breath was enough to debuff pretty much till they died anything not rot inmune or with sick resistance. So f...duck rot reallly.....only used it to combine with deadly poison and mainly with scumbag dragons , dying slowly while they fly all around the place.
Replaced it with Agheel flame, not going to miss it.
