Account Panelized for 180 days
So my account got Panelized and im sure i know why its probably because i forgot to get rid of reshade before playing online however whats interessting to me is that even though it says i have been Panelized i can still see messages, ghosts and bloodpools of other players however placing a summoning sign yields no result what i mean is i usually wait for about half an hour until i take away my sign. So what im asking is am i really banned from playing multiplayer for 180 days? its not really a problem since i can still play on console even though i would have to start over but i can only play with my friends on pc

If that's what it says.

I think the penalty is overly harsh and should be modified to be an increasing amount of time. Such as : 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 16 weeks, Permanent.

Just my thinking on it. Would make things better for relatively innocent mistakes, such as yours.

i agree

Really due to ReShade and not some other mod you might have forgotten to uninstall? I've been able to play online with ReShade in the past without penalty.

If i did, i wouldnt remember since i started playing after a 2 month break so i might have had something installed but since i verifyed my game before playing it should have gotten deleted but i really don´t think i am banned because if i truly was wouldnt i be not allowed to play online? speaking not seeing other players ghosts messages and bloodstains also my own messages i wrote were still able to get appraised by other players while i was walking around. I also heard that co-op in elden ring has become pretty scarce since players are afraid of invaders

it says "WARNING your account has been Penalized for inapropiate activity for 180 days" something along those lines

Pardon my proceeding book, but Dark Souls has a similar thing. From's detection on what's happening is notoriously bad. My DS3 account is permabanned because my ex-bf opted to cheat in max level rather than play normally. Only found out after we both were banned for playing together. A reshade is pushing it but they told me on my appeal that any modification from changes in color to anything with cheat engine or even having those on your pc *could* and *might* result in a ban. I asked about what to do if you were color blind or needed larger text to see better but they just reiterated that any modification of any kind or anything that is accessing those files during game play doesn't just get you banned but anyone you're playing with. Invaders, cooperators, and yourself, if there's any alteration detected from anyone then everyone is banned. (Also fwiw I couldn't get a clear cut yes or no on what is or is not okay. It sounded like their customer service reps honestly don't know. If I had to take a shot in the dark I'd say that they have some AI just mass ban upon detecting something off regardless the reason and their customer service is there to get you to wait out a ban period. They probably don't have any clear cut rules hence why I was only ever given an opinion on what the rep at the time thought could result in any form of punitive actions.)

So you may not have done anything wrong. You may have picked up a dooped item or been given runes that have the same unique ID number as another somewhere. That's a ban regardless the amount. They told me before the DS3 servers went off line that after the ban period, if my appeal was accepted, that I should never pick up items left by players I don't fully trust, nor if I feel somethings off should I continue to engage with them. I asked if that meant they wanted me to force quit the game upon invasion, something which can also get you in trouble, but they never clarified.

All that said the online functions including summoning and invading will work as normal. But you're on a "banned server". So you can only interact with players that have also been banned for whatever reason. It's part of their whole soft banning thing. Unfortunately in the mean time there's not much you can do. Despite reaching out to them they said they wouldn't process any appeals until after 90 days. Ended up mattering little as the Dark Souls servers all went down the following week anyways, only coming back online I believe yesterday? With the DS1 servers shutdown for good.

**Quick clarification. I use banned and "penalized" synonymously. I only ever had the penalized warning as well, though it gave no time frame. The rep opted to disregard any questions regarding what they meant by "ban" "penalized" etc. etc. But looking around on google it seems that everyone is treated the same from the most blatant of hackers to someone who picked up a weapon with modded stats that seemed legit and like you got a cool blue guy at the time. Speaking of blatant hackers; while on the soft ban server anyone is free to do anything they so choose so should you get invaded you may want to force quit out because they're likely going to be hacking to a ridiculous degree.

ok than the only thing you can do is check your chars for some items that where created by hacking (the wiki can give you the information to identify them) and discard them or you have to start completely new by delete the savefile and play again in 180 days.

btw if you used mods you should deinstall the game delete the gamefolder and reinstall it clean, verify does not delete files that came from a mod.

you can see messages and stuff and even maybe super-rarely find people because the game lets banned people play with eachother. also who knows, maybe banned people can see messages of the non-banned.

That could very well be the case, again im don´t remember what i did to get banned it could very well be because i used a mod and forgot to bypass EAC or rather forgott to play offline i really don´t care all too much about it i would start from the beginning again if i have to do that most people are quick to lable someone a cheater without knowing the full backstory of what happend rather they are so insanely butthurt that they just take the piss out of anyone they can. I literally made this post just to see what it means and if there was a way to fix this without deleting my saves but if there is no other way then i will just delete my saves im not about to cry over some pixels unlike some other people

Not really i modded it and made a mistake not going offline thats about it, and yea i said i probably modded before because i wasnt 100% sure but i just looked into my game directory and found a mods folder so its pretty much confirmed i used mods and just forgot about them when i launched the game again after a 2 months break it happens im not finna cry about it im just gonna delete my saves and be done with it the game isnt hard as long as you use bleed or magic so why would i need to cheat
Schmepy Nov 10, 2022 @ 11:17am
Well this thread is basically useless now imma still keep it open but im just gonna completely delete the game and reinstall it btw one question i still have if i delte my saves are my character presets gone aswell?
Sparhawk 59 Nov 10, 2022 @ 11:21am
In ds 3 you can delete all saves any mods then do a fresh build and send in a ticket to support to get un banned
