I find if I use near only I rarely invade or get summoned but if I use the near/far option I typically go where I set down the marker. OR at least this has been my experience with characters ranging from level 10-90
Use the summoning pools instead. You can only be summoned to pools you have activated, but I easily find myself summoned (mostly for bosses) several times an hour, seamlessly, while I'm out adventuring.
Also, if you overlevel for an area, people won't see your sign as much anymore. For your level, you should expect to be able to be summoned for late - area Limgrave (Morne and Stormveil, and possibly Siofra) and early area Liurnia (pools South-East of Raya Lucaria.)
Its just broken , I tested the effigy near far multiple times with a friend using a pw , Sometimes it would take up to 20 minutes for my sign to show to them... complete bshit
In ds3 i drop my mark and get summoned within 2 minutes atleast , while its only a singular mark on a specifik bonfire... Effigy should work map wide , which it does not , Try putting ur mark down like in DS3 near the sum pool statues and u will start to see the effigy system is 100% flawed.
Level up and start opening up summoning for Liurna and you should start getting summoned again.
