You don't have to take it personally, or keep replying, but by sounding an alarm, you have to take responsibility for the consequences e.g. people asking these questions. Also, you literally said,
I am not going out of my way to call you ignorant or insult you. You do, however, admit ignorance about the subject matter. So, don't hold the correct statement of your post being misinformed against me, because I do not hold it against you.
Yeah, this guy has been doing this kind of thing for a while now, derailing threads and constantly flaming users. Idk how he hasn't been banned yet. Just ignore the troll.
Afterburner is relevant, and there were many cases in multiple games where innocent people got mass-banned for using MSI Afterburner and other harmless programs with overlays and injections.
at least you can easily monitor all those games that run like crap!
lol imagine a GPU overlay being your selling point. COPE.
I myself haven't been banned in a game since my Diablo 2 modding days, where I did all sorts of stuff I wasn't allowed to like botting and maphacking. Even logged in with mods installed on accident, forgetting what I was doing - RIP that CD key. Thus, all I know is feedback on forums about bans, where most of the time, the person complaining was probably actually cheating. No way to know, though.
As for your personal experience, you should understand that it's subjective. Good that you're a lucky guy, but reality is that luck lasts only until you get in accident.
You've said that when you've banned for using harmless program you can go and reverse the ban through support channels, like it's easy. While in reality it's often hard or even impossible. Unless you're a popular youtuber/streamer.
