Increase blood loss
Hi,

For a weapon with a build-in blood loss of 55, but a weapon that cannot be put ash of war, and therefore cannot have its affinity changed, like the bloodhound fang, is there a way to increase the blood loss level? Does it increase with stats like arcane or not?

Or is the only way to do this a spell like bloodflame blade?

Also, I guess even if I dual wield this weapon, I can buff only one of them with bloodflame blade.

Thanks

You can't use bloodflame blade on those kind of weapons as far as i've seen.

I think they just made those to have a bit of bleed as an option for builds that didn't invest in arcane. If you are full dex or full faith, the main attraction of those weapons is their normal scaling, their move set and weapon arts. The native bleed is just a secondary bonus. Nice but not the reason you are using the weapon.

Also, you can't buff both weapons with bloodflame. One of the reasons i never bother with bloodflame when dual wielding. Not because i need the buff but because having the flame effect on only one weapon ruins my fashion. It's either both or none at all.

I have seen a video of someone preventing malenia to go to its flower attack thanks to bloodflame blade as the blood loss triggered while she was about to attack :)

For now I'm considering a dual scavenger curved sword build, occult affinity, though I wonder how I will kill the end boss immune to everything as I will not be a magic user. Guess I will have to just avoid hits and use standard physical damage :)

Maybe you can use bloodflame blade on one and seppuku on the other ? So you will have an effect, though not the same, on both blades :)

Maybe I will try then a dual scavenger curved sword bleed build. And for bosses that cannot bleed I will just hit longer :)

i see people using bloodflame spell buff but not sure if it increases the Blood loss. tbh i do ran Arc build where i put on dual estoc with blood affinities i will do some spacing and punish and kill on PVP. for PvE i just go with bloody helice and parry shield to make it more interesting.

You can use frost pots for that as well, but only two for fight as after that she develops too much resistance.

Occult gives you physical damage and Radagon is not resistant to that at all. You can see how much damage i'm doing to him with an occult Great Stars in my fight with him:

Occult is best if you go pure Arcane with little investment from other stats (i have 22 str, 16 dex and 55 arcane here) and no weapon buffs (since you can't use them with occult), but obviously you have to use it on weapons that already have native bleed on it.

Your evading skills are impressive :)
I made a SL 200 bleed build with 99 arcane, with dual scavenger curved sword. Maybe I should also get a big weapon as well like a great curved sword as backup for boss that cannot bleed, something that hits slowly but hard, as I'm unsure I'm able to do a lot of shots on enemies like the elden beast where I have to evade often...
