If you're one of those people who like to conserve as many flasks as possible for bosses, it's a must-have. Primarily scales with the stats you're already using, and comes from Rykard's Remembrance.
It works really well paired with a Sword of Milos offhanded or on your back, as Sword of Milos returns FP on kill.. so if you also use the Talisman that does the same, you can wipe out groups of stuff for little to no FP cost, and get healed for every target hit no less.
Also, Sword of Milos has a pretty good weapon art, and unique heavy attacks as well.
Sword of Milos might be doable eventually.
Golden Halberd feels a bit overstatted in my opinion. It's got such high damage at +9 (308 Physical AND 200 Holy) with 144 Stance Damage.
Compared to the Bloodhound Fang's 325 Physical with 115 Stance Damage.
Even on a boss that resists/absorbs Holy, Golden Halberd probably does much more damage than anything else.
It's a bit of a hassle to use on horseback (for me anyway) since I lack the strength to wield it without holding it in two hands.
If I am two-handing it and I mount up, the game still considers me two-handing.
But if I switch to my Seal to cast a Heal or something, then switch back to the Halberd, I get a red 'X' over the weapon because I lack the strength to single-hand it.
So I have to dismount, double-hand the weapon, and re-mount.
Could always just use a bit more strength.
But I'd love to get Faith moving in the right direction someday too. ;)
It can be found under the Divine Tower in Caelid:

Afaik, it's the ultimate best weapon for a faith build: the weapon art does up to 6000 damage for 3 swings. With my melee build my AR was 1012 without buff. Also, it has the fastest moveset among all colossal sword.
I took the Glaive to endgame with Ice Spear, its so great.
I am bias as I used the GH through almost the entire game and it is right the first thing you can get when you start a playthrough.
I'll have to test it vs my specialized build: the only Halberd I learned to love was the Guardian Sword spear because of its moveset. Also, faith builds in general promote flame damage more than holy, thanks to “flame, grant me strength”. Also, the Weapon Art of the Golden Halberd overwrite the Golden Vow buff, meaning that you’re opening a slot for another incantations (which could be good) or wasting the weapon art.
Personally (but here we're going bias vs bias) nothing satisfies me more than placing all 3 hits of the Godslayer Greatsword WA on a boss and see it melts with black flame: especially ludicrous against stone enemies and final bosses. You can, and I’ve, one shot the Black Blade Kindred with the Godslayer Greatsword… XD
I like the flexibility of Bloodhound Fang. I can grease it up or cast a weapon buff incantation to suit whatever fight I am up against. Currently only have access to Lightning, Bloodflame, Holy, Poison, and Black Flame (though this only lasts 6 seconds... meh!)
With my current level of Faith, my Lightning Weapon incantation adds about +139 extra Lightning damage to my weapon.
And having the Bloodhound Finesse ability is good. I can put Golden Vow on my Misericorde if I wanted. I like having a weapon art that can be used offensively/defensively.
It apparently also gets a 10% boost to jump attacks, which I use quite often.
And the weapon can cause blood loss... so that's good.
